The campground was very nice actually. There was tons of things to do for kids and the pools were really nice. Our campsite was ok at best. I believe we were in 7 which was right in from of the where the golf carts are parked. It rained and it was so muddy/sandy in our site. Also, when we were leaving we couldn't get out the way that we were supposed to because the campsite on the very end had a tent set up at the very edge by the street so we couldn't turn our 5th wheel out there. We had to go out to the right and it was really hard to maneuver around the large tree at the corner and then we had to go around the next corner where the entrance and exit arms are and finally go out the correct way. It wasn't a smooth exit, let's just say. But, the campground is very appealing if you have children. Oh, and the hot tub for adults was a very nice amenity. The pools were really nice, like I said, but they were very cold!! The campground is very convenient to go to the downtown area since the trolley stops right there in the campground. That was a nice touch as well. It's a long walk to the beach by way of the campground. Also, as we were just driving in, Google maps took us down Beach Rd or something like that and there is a low bridge of 12'9" which our camper will not fit. So, we had a bit of a problem there. We had to turn into a residential area and snake through there to find our way around the low bridges - so campers beware - specially if you are only using Google!!! There are no signs until you come right up to it.

The park was beautiful with lots of trees. The amenities were excellent as well as the staff. Great place to take the family. I will defiantly be back.

I have a family of 5 (kids 19,14 and 5) and didnt lock in a site and was moved from a standard 1 bedroom with a queen bed and a loft with 2 fulls to a Handicap 1 bedroom with no loft. The staff was super nice but being sold out we were stuck in this cabin. We did get a burner as theres no stove in a handicap cabin but for the $$ spent it wasnt the best expirience. We also paid for a golf cart which kept dying despite charging it all night and in between rides. Again another cost with not a great expirience. 4 pools but with the heatwave they were packed.

Park overall was in good shape; however the site we were assigned was directly on the driveway, main highway and behind a restaurant whose dumpsters are dumped in the middle of the night. I mentioned the noise after our first night but they indicated they had no other sites available despite observing many sites throughout quieter areas of the park which were non occupied. After night two we pulled the plug and let the girl at the desk go that would be leaving due to the noise level. It was impossible to sleep. The girl at the counter apologized quickly and thanked me for letting her know. No recompense was offered and no escalation was made to management. The 3 or 4 roadside sites in my opinion should be turned into a parking lot as they are not fit for camping. Good amenities…good location. Higher end dollars on a camping site (86 per night). We would have returned; however will not be returning now as no effort was made to reach out to insure we were looked after and even an apology for our inconvenience. Took the money and ran.

My family loves going to Wild Acres. Pools, Ropes course, close to off site activities and food

This campground was a zoo! Lots of unsupervised kids running around. The distance to the dumpsters was long. There was constant traffic - cars, golf carts, bikes, foot traffic - by my campsite. I came back shortly after dark one night and a little boy who was not more than five years old pulled right out in front of me on the road on his bike/trike without even looking. Had I not been moving at a crawl I would have hit him. Parents nowhere to be seen. On top of that, I arrived a few hours early and was charged $30 as an early check-in fee, despite the fact that there were only five RVs in the section I was in that had at least 30 campsites. I was on an eight week trip, and this was easily my worst campground experience of the trip.
