We had a great campsite, #24, for 5 nights. Very level. Great view of the lake. Very quiet. The owner's 3 dogs are a hoot to be around.

Campsites were generous in size and space in between. (Unlike the Michigan State Park we visited.) We had one facing Lake Superior that included a short trail to access the beach. The beach itself was big enough that campers were able to set up shelters. The bathrooms were modern and there were two separate locations/buildings for the campground. The dump station was easily accessible. Water and electric met our needs. We would stay there again - - a sure sign of our approval.

Significantly over crowded. RVs on top of trailers, view was cars trucks and other trailers. Nice couple we croweded in on next to us. On-site management very kind. Hayward is a super cute town needs a cleaner more open camping selection. Easier said than done.
