Mike the host was very helpful and pleasant. The site was smaller than expected due to a lot of campers, but that's OK. The unpleasant part was the trains coming through town blasting their horns at different times of the night allowed for only a few hours of sleep a night.

Couldn’t even find the hookups or the assigned site and nobody responded to phone call

The host was very nice and switched us from the site we reserved to a better location in a quieter part of the campground. That was the good part. The site’s sewer hook-up was open without a lid, and was cracked with a big hole in the side. The sites have no tables, no fire ring, no grill which are kind of an expectation to have either a grill or a fire ring. The electrical associated with the site didn’t work, but the adjacent site was empty so we were able to use that. There was no clear indication of where to place garbage. It was a quiet overnight stopover, but I would not suggest staying here as part of a camping trip.

The owners son went totally out of his way to be helpful. Really polite and nice young man. Very quiet little town.

The park needed to be mowed badly. There was no one there when we got there & we had to wait about 15 minutes for someone to come. However, the lady that came after we called was super nice & friendly.

We arrived at night which is always disconcerting in a new spot! We could not see a clear marking of the sites. It was great that we were given our choice but could have used some guidance. In the plus column! Water, electric, sewer, laundry all easily assessable and well marked! Convenience store close by, cute downtown and amazing sunrise with a cool train coming by. Picture perfect! Bet the sunsets are amazing! Thank you!!

Quick,simple, inexpensive place to spend the night--exactly what I needed. And the friendly lady who greeted me was icing on the cake. 😁

If I could rate the owner alone I would give it a 5 because Mari was awesome. The cons... we arrived late and it was dark. No street lights to see where we were going. Broken glass all over from the previous long term tenants. Water did not work. Apparently there is a trick to it so make sure to contact Mari. Pros... nice and dark and quiet and good price.

We stay here every time we come to Cheyenne Wells. Love it
