Great people and atmosphere

I added 2 days from the beginning and they put me in a shaded spot . This was at " bike week" busy time. Staff always waved as I moved about each day on my adventures. Bathroom was clean always. The location of the camp was near all the places I wanted to visit.

What a gem! Owners helpful and kind. We appreciated the tips regarding the best routes to take for site seeing. Crazy Horse..a must see! We are new to the camping world….and are thrilled we started our new adventure at Timber Ridge.

Great camp ground near Deadwood and Mt Rushmore. Tent sites are near a road but doesn't seem to be much traffic. Host was awesome and helpful. There is a bar on site that offers food and drinks. Bathrooms are older but clean. Was one of the top sites we stayed at in a week of camping!

We arrived late. The host was friendly and helpful giving us great tips to get where we were going. She offered to let us pick a different camp site and suggested her favorite. The campsite was quiet and in a beautiful area. Loved the “epic” drive to Mt Rushmore up the windy road thru stone tunnels and wooden bridges.

Very pretty spot. Extremely helpful staff. Feels very remote. Lots of twists and turns on roads getting there. Once there it is a confusion of roads with no signage to direct you to the camping spot. These are minor issues - overall well worth the effort.

Adjacent camping site overflowed into our site which made it awkward to connect to utilities. Bath house what old but clean

Very friendly hosts and great location to parks/sites nearby. Campsites were a bit close together and our site wasn't very flat which was a bit of challenge for cooking/tent. Nice to have showers and toilets so close. Campground is right on a road, which is busy during the day but quiets down at night.

Monica and Pete's spot was just plain awesome. They are so hospitable and made us feel so welcome. The campground was perfect for our dog with lots of land to roam and explore. We really appreciated the hot showers! We drove by some other RV parks in the area and were SO happy with our choice to stay at Timber Ridge. It's tucked away and more in nature than a lot of the other places we saw in the area AND close to Rushmore. It sounds like they have some really cool plans for the property and we are looking forward to returning in the future. Thanks for a great stay Monica and Pete!

Wonderful staff. Great camp spot. Close to all 6 tunnels on both Iron Mtn Road and Needles Hwy, close to Keystone, Mt Rushmore. Will definitely go back if we’re in the area again.

While we didn’t get to enjoy the site much, it was a wonderful location to Mt. Rushmore. The scenery was beautiful and the plus was seeing a ton of deer on property. We would definitely recommend this place and we would stay here again!

Great hospitality and location.

The campground was beautiful. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Showers and bathrooms clean. They have an outside Cafe with adult beverages. Always a plus. Thanks for the memories.

So much space to roam! Very close to Custer State park. Can’t forget about the Amazing lake Center Lake with a Beach just 2 miles down the road. Much to offer with this beautiful campground!

Lovely site. Would stay again. Everything you need. Ice, showers, cold beverages, dump station. Grass sites with shade. Close to everything but remote at the same time.

It was beautiful the hosts were amazing and it has a restaurant and showers.

Very clean and easy to access. Friendly lady in office. Sites close but convenient. A very good no nonsense park.
