Trout Lake Campground — Reviews

Great campground - was pretty quiet due to the time of year, but was very welcoming. I'm guessing this is a great place to spend time in the summer! We enjoyed it so much that we booked for next weekend, too!

Most of the campground looked really nice but we were in a new area under construction. Basically a big grassy field. Which would have been fine but a solid day of rain made the exit a sunk in the mud debacle.

Nice clean campground. Matt was very accommodating and very nice genuine guy. It was all around a great experience staying at Trout Lake campground.

Great campground. We love supporting a family owned campground. Great spot in on Trout Lake. My only Ding was my 30 amp trailer receptacle was supplied by a 20 amp breaker. I wanted to bring this to the owners attention however they were not around on our departure. Please have a license electrician ensure the 30amp receptacle servicing the pavilion lot has the correct circuit conductor size and a 30 amps breaker. I had the breaker trip on use during our stay and it wasn't sized correctly. Thanks for the hospitality guys we loved your site!

Beautiful area, well maintained. Clean facilities, friendly people but not nosey. Truly a relaxing, connect with nature get away while having some comforts of home (cell phone access, a/c in camper, toilet in camper. Highly recommend

Green, quite mostly, interesting layout for the campground. We are 35’ and were able to fit nicely in our spot. Easy check in, very kind owners. Would come back.

Matt was there to welcome us apon arrival and walked us to the campsite. Great views of the lake and quiet campground. Our girls had fun.

We had a great couple of days at Trout Lake Campground! My children and I had a great stay in the lakeside camper. We also were able to bring our family dog which made my daughter very happy. Unfortunately it was so windy during our stay that we weren’t able to go fishing or do much swimming but it was still a great retreat from the busy life of a single dad with 3 kids.

The campground was as described (except no current working sauna) and the hosts were welcoming and helpful! We would recommend this place to family and friends and hope to stay here again soon!

Matt was very kind and helpful. The weather was beautiful with ample space to play games and swim at the beach. Our only disappointment was we chose this campground because it advertised a sauna and due to insurance reasons it wasn't available to use.

Upon arrival to campsite #32; found site was to small, no picnic table no shade & only one fire pit for three camp sites. No other sites were available; so we cancelled our stay. Should get a refund since the site was described as a drive thru for up to 50 feet. A Trailer was in the way to even use the site. The site was so narrow that it would have stuck out on the roadway & steps would not clear.

My stay at trout lake campground was fantastic. The site was secluded and yet close enough to have all the comforts of a shower and restroom readily available. The scenery was amazing with beautiful sunrises and sunsets that would take your breath away. Fishing was great with bass swimming right off shore and walleye and pan fish abundant just a little ways out on the lake. The owners of the campground were friendly and respectful, there if needed but otherwise give you the space you look for while camping. Pricing is reasonable and firewood prices are some of the best I have found at a campground. I have already started looking at when to visit next. I highly recommend.
