We normally like camping areas not in town because the sites are close together. We wanted a night in town so we could walk around. The sites are close but enough room for the camper and picnic table. It was clean and nice facilities. Had a big common area with a fire pit. It was quiet in the evening and had a good sleep.

My family and I had a great week at this campground. It’s in a great location with great views and within easy walking distance to anything you’d need in town. Facilities were always extremely clean. I was a bit worried about being crammed into the spots but we have plenty of room (we have no slides in our TT). We’ll definitely be staying here again on our next visit.

From the minute we checked in the staff was super friendly and the facility was clean and appealing. We enjoyed our stay so much the family discussed making it a annual event.

Every point of contact with staff and owners was a five star experience. The restrooms and showers were spotless. The sites were close, but you don’t go to Alaska to sit at a campsite. There is a beautiful view of the bay to relax in the evening. The free coffee in the office was a bonus “star”. We, along with our travel crew, give Valdez RV Park 6 stars. WELL DONE

Valdez RV Park is amazing. John and Kate and all their employees are very helpful, kind, generous and amazing. The park is clean as well as the bathrooms and showers are always hot. We stay there every time we are in Valdez and plan our monthly fishing trips through the summer.

I gave a 5-star rating because Valdez RV Park was beautifully maintained and had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It brought back memories of my childhood, camping at various spots along the East Coast. Truly a special place.

We stayed 3 nights. It is a typical gravel pad campground where you are close to your neighbors. The tent sites have better views. We got electric and water (though didn't use the later). The showers are in separate bathrooms that are like home. Very clean and the nicest shower I've had in a while. The wifi was good (were able to stream Netflix). Verizon cell was also good. Very convenient access to downtown and Safeway grocery store. The gravel is larger variety that doesn't stick to your feet as much as small gravel (like the Seward campground).
