Vinton County Fairgrounds — Reviews

Muddy grass sites. A camper had to be moved off our site prior to our arrival. A member of our group mowed the property. Litter everywhere. Bathrooms unclean. No toilet paper in some restrooms. It’s a beautiful property with a covered bridge over the pond. It’s so sad that it’s so poorly maintained and managed.

Couldn’t get a hold of anyone to check in. Kinda like a free for all

Very Poor, the campsite was on the side of a hill. Could not get the trailer leveled out, the electric did not work and the only water that came out was rusty. I left after the first night, I won't be selecting a site there again. I would have been better of camping in the field and bringing my own generator and water.

We were alone in the campsites and the Boys had a great time. We’ll be back for sure.

It's a work in progress. Shower house primitive and open to the public not just campers.

Mixed review - The campground has lots of sites with partial or full hookups and lots of amenities, since it's co-located with the county fairgrounds. The location is really nice, and renovations are ongoing. The campground is not well marked and is tricky to drive around. Most sites are unlevel and lack enough gravel to offer a solid surface, which is especially bad after days of rain.

Bathrooms were atrocious but tent camp spot was 10/10. Beautiful views

Just the perfect quite & peaceful location I needed while while in Southern Ohio for 3 weeks. I will return!
