Whispering Pines Campground — Reviews

Campsites were clean, all hooks up worked. Campsite was quiet. When we arrived the campsites are marked with the site numbers on the electrical boxes, not easy to see from your truck or RV..Was a great location to get into Theodore Roosevelt National Park and the new library. Would stay here again

The cost was reasonable and it was fairly close to Theodore Roosevelt National Park and Presidential Library. However my rv site was not level and I was unable to raise the front of my coach high enough to get it even close to being level. It’s ok for an overnight or maybe a two night stay.

It was nice but no onsite management and the sites are not really developed.

it was about 25ft to the sewer connection and I only carry 20ft also it's all gravel and could be more level. also the entrance is on the west side and my GPS says it is on the south!

Nice enough for an overnight stop, but nothing special to do there. No signage to direct you to the campground.

Septic was too far away for easy dumping. We needed to reback up closer with only one hose. We felt very safe there, the site was clean, easy access to site. Easy access to your campground, great down town bar and grill!

Great views, very bucolic and serene. All amenities whereas described. Had a lovely time.

We did not have water in the morning. I called to find out what was going on and no one called me back. Communication was poor.

The park was peaceful and quiet. I loved the pine trees surrounding the park!

Minimal upkeep RV camp. Mostly long term rentals. Unit next to ours had a truck with tire blown out and parked and he was hooked up to our electrical outlet. The area had just had a lot of rain and leveling was difficult because spots needed more crushed rock. No contact with site personnel everything done on line.

To close to other units. Muddy. No admin on site.

Sites are sloped and hard to get level. Weeds are terrible. Place was quiet.

New campground lacking amenities, but we knew that going in. It was a decent place to stay for the night. Site is close to a friendly, little town. Only real complaint was the grounds maintenance beginning around 6:30 pm that kicked up rocks and dust when we were trying to relax from our drive and enjoy a bit of outside time.
