Wild Acadia Camping Resort — Reviews

Other than finding old dog dropping, which was taken care of by an employee staying at the site next to us, we had a great time. The site was very clean and quiet.

We had a wonderful time at Wild Acadia! This campground is packed with fun amenities, from the water playground to the arcade and mini-golf course. The pool was also a great way to cool off. We appreciated being able to refill our propane onsite—super convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We explored nearby Bar Harbor, which was absolutely beautiful, though we learned the hard way that the Island Explorer bus doesn’t operate before June 23—Ubering back was tricky. Despite that, Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park were unforgettable, with stunning coastal views and hiking trails. Wild Acadia was the perfect launch point for our Maine adventures.

The staff was phenomenal from the manager Crista, to the owners of the property to every single employee. You can tell it’s a wonderful place to work and they make all feel welcome. Think old style campground resort that has integrity and wholesome values. We usually only do word of mouth recommendations but this campground truly deserves a glowing review.

Campground was clean, very friendly staff, quiet! Granddaughter loved the water park.

We had an amazing 5 days here. The lots are huge and very even. They have wooded areas between most sites with raspberry plants all over the property. The bath houses are beautiful and new with screens keeping the bugs out. The fun zone was top notch with mini-golf being one of our family highlights. The location was perfect for Acadia and Bar Harbor where we spent most of our days. Really wish we lived closer to stay here more often.

Probably the best park we ever stayed! Extremely well laid out, with great wooded space between sites and it's maintained beautifully! The "fun zone" is great for kids, but far enough away from the loops be make camping quiet and rustic. All roads are well compacted stone so no skateboards little scooters 😆. The transition from "fun park" to campground for adults too is awesome! Only 10 minutes from the causeway to MDI. Perfect spot!

We had a great time at Wild Acadia! Kids loved the FunZone, grounds are well maintained and beautiful, staff is friendly and helpful, restrooms/showers are very clean and spacious, and our cabin was picturesque. Highly recommended staying here!

Campground was cute, bathrooms and showers were immaculate! The fun zone is great. Perfect spot to explore Acadia and go back to have a relaxing night by the fire.
