Woodsmoke Family Campground — Reviews

Nice quiet small campground, big pull-through for my 41' motorhome towing a car. Some of the turns to get in and out were a little challenging, but certainly doable. The owner greeted me - was friendly and accommodating! My only reason for four stars instead of five is that they were working on the road around the pond and it was a bit dusty - but certainly a temporary thing.

Quite except for the highway traffic, which is not the campgrounds fault. Close to everything.

We stopped at Woodsmoke on the way to our destination for one night and on the way back home for one night. Although we didn't stay long we had a great experience both times. The host was very helpful and welcoming. The bathroom facility was nice and clean. We had a pull through site which was very long and had full hookup. I will definitely keep this nice little campground in mind for future.

Great overnight stop. Easy to reserve, easy in and out, quiet and clean. Friendly folks camping there too.

Great little spot totally recommend this campground!!

First time to this campground. No one at office all the time we were there!! Our name written on a board outside the office with a site number a very poor map with most of the sites numbers unreadable!! We called their phone number.. Got an answering machine and they have NEVER returned my call!! My wife and I walked the campground and looked for the site .. or people who may know where the site May be!! After several hours "WE" picked a site for the night!! Sewer hook up next to the picnic table?? Rocks for a fire ring?? No one Ever around or even returned my call!! And Yes... We paid for this!! It was quiet and we hooked up to water and electricity for the night. Not my kind of camping!!

Very clean bathrooms an friendly staff

We arrived late and saw the paper on the door with our assigned site, which is good. However, the number sign was so hard to see, the site was uneven and sites were very close to each other. The entire campsite is so cramped that we didn't see a way to comfortably walk our dogs. There are so many bugs flying around and we got bug bites quickly. We didn't feel comfortable to stay at all, so we ran away within a few minutes.

Truly an `out in the country` experience, with all the necessities easily accessible. Looking forward to coming back!

The campgrounds was nice and the new shower/bathrooms were great but there wasn’t anything to do there no trails or games. I know you have the pond with catch and release but not everyone is into fishing 🎣 The pond could use a bit of cleaning and the bridge would make for awesome pictures if fixed and painted. other then that I was great and my friends loved the pictures I took there and have talked about visiting.

Very quite. The bathrooms are immaculate. However, we were right next to the office for check in and we were approached twice to assist with check in. The office was closed and the wipe board with check in was not updated. It’s fine I guess but we really didn’t know how to assist.

It needs updating, which I did see new restrooms. Lots need some TLC, however, a lot of people living in the campground or staying long term and it shows. On the positive side, I did see new things happening and that is a good thing

A quiet and well maintained park with easy access to the interstate, groceries, and restaurants.
