We had another wonderful stay at Yarberry Campground! This was our second trip up from Alabama, and it’s quickly becoming one of our favorite places to camp. The campground was peaceful, quiet, and well-maintained. One of the highlights of our stay was the camp hosts. They were located right next to our site and were incredibly friendly and helpful. We had two young kids with us, and they immediately let us know there had been a young bear spotted nearby. We never actually saw the bear, but we really appreciated the heads-up so we could keep a closer eye on the kids and stay aware of our surroundings. We also loved that there were several fruit trees around the campground. Before heading home, we picked a few fresh peaches, which was a fun little bonus! The only downside was our campsite backed up to a steep drop-off overlooking the lake. It wasn’t close enough to make us worry about our kids’ safety, but they did lose a ball that rolled over the edge before they could catch it. It would be nice if there were a small barrier or something similar to help keep toys and other items from rolling down the cliff. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will definitely be back again. If you’re looking for a quiet, family-friendly campground with amazing hosts and beautiful scenery, Yarberry Campground is a great choice!
