Yarberry Campground — Reviews

Very nice park. Camping spaces were very spacious. Bathrooms were clean and tidy. Unfortunately, the shower I chose only had luke warm water in the shower.

While we love Yarberry and site 67 is amazing, the new management is not the greatest. We have been going there for 10+ years and have seen many changes, this management is the worst yet. For a long time we were just able to drive to the site but now must stop in at the office, since the road from the office to the gate is very short, this causes a long wait time. Last time we were there we had to wait almost 30 min. If they are going to continue this then they need a way for traffic to flow. Site 67 is the most beautiful site in the park, but the fire pit is in the ground. This doesnt allow for proper air flow and causes the fire to smoke real bad and since the pit is so close to the trailer all the smoke gets accumulated in the trailer. I have complained about this for years and yet every time we tell them about it, they act as if they are hearing it for the first time. Also the speed limit of 5mph is continuously preached at check in but the staff will zoom around on the golf carts way faster then 5 mph. I wish they would change it to 10mph to make it a little better because 5 mph is very hard to maintain. The sites are constantly having electrical issues and each time the maintenance staff tells us that they will not pay to have the correct parts to install and tend to buy the cheaper parts that dont always fit. Another thing befor campspot took over, we used to be able to see the dates that certain sites were open, now we have to put in the dates first then just keep trying dates till we see that it is open. Most of the time i just get frustrated with the system and just call the office to book, but when you do that they just sound annoyed that they are helping you. This place is really beautiful and we are spoiled to have it so close, but the poor management\ campspot taking over has ran it into the ground.

We had a lovely campsite on the lake. Getting there was confusing as there we not any signs for the campground and nothing we had received explained it was a recreational area. All good after we figured it out and got settled. We also had forgotten there was no sewer hookup. Beautiful location and we will come back again.

Clean bath houses, quiet sites, easy check-in and out. Secure. great prices in the little store. Friendly staff. Very inexpensive stay. lots of things to do. plenty of shady areas. Well maintained. ect..............

Easy online booking, sites are level and spacious, campground was close to my Mom’s house, the location and views were awesome. Next time I will take advantage of the amenities! Will definitely recommend and be back.

Large camp sites right on the water. Very nice campground and very nice people running it.

Love the campground. Only negative I have is no bathhouse down near the sites at the dock. We come every year. One of our favorite campgrounds.

One of the BEST campgrounds ever! Spacious spots, most on the water, great for swimming and other water sports. Staff was courteous and friendly. Do yourself a favor, camp at Yarberry!!

Beautiful campground with spacious sites and water access. Every staff member we came into contact with was very nice. We will definitely be back!

I would have given GREAT except, the water front sites we had sites 95 & 93 were a real steep decline to the water, my husband fell down take the dog down to the water and scraped his hip, and bruised his elbow. A set of stairs in-between sites would have been great. Other than that it was awesome!!

Everyone was very friendly and went out of their way to help.
