We stayed one night and we have already thought about returning to see more of the area.

Mike and Kim are so friendly. The place feels like home. Strongly recommend this place.

The sites are fantastic. Wide and long enough for our 43’ fifth wheel, lots outside space, also room to park our massive truck. These guys really know what we need in a campsite. Then, Kim and Micheal are just the best hosts. Our grandson turned six while we were there and they invited us to watch an outdoor movie of his choosing in their yard. He had the most fun! We loved the little trail through the woods. Such a fantastic stay! I’d give them ten stars if I could.

Yates RV Resort, Forest City, NC This is a very small new campground with only 10 spots, most of the spots are occupied by long term people, but they are kept very nice and neat. The owners, Michael & Kim, were great and met us when we pulled in and then checked on us several times during our stay. Michael even invited me to a dinner at his church one night while we were there. This place is definitely on our list of places to visit again and would be the place we would want to stay anytime we are in the area. They also had a great dog park which is always a plus with us. Chimney Rock, Lure Lake, and Mount Mitchell were great places to see in the area. The hamburgers at Scrappy’s were great.

Mike and Kim are The Best! They made sure my stay was comfortable. I arrived at the start of the first freeze warnings. I had no experience setting up the camper for a freeze. Mike took care of my setup by properly insulating my faucet and hoses. I would have been screwed without his help. They kept in touch to make sure I had a smooth stay( I was there for 1.5 months). The location is convenient to the highway and walking their 22 acre land was so peaceful. I would not hesitate to go back for another stay. - Highly recommended!

Wonderful find. Will definitely work a return visit as soon as our schedule allows. After having a bad day on the road and leaving one campsite, we were lucky to find this gem. Michael and Kim made us feel at home as if we were part of their family. Wide sites Beautiful views.
