The reservation holder agrees to the total reservation charges and payments as listed on the reservation confirmation page. The reservation holder understands we offer no refunds or credits for early departure, inclement weather, or other situations which may arise. The reservation holder agrees that they are responsible for anything that happens on their site, or with anyone registered to their site. The reservation holder agrees a valid debit or credit card is required to be on file for all reservations, which Powder Horn Family Camping Resort has the right to charge for any unpaid amounts owed by the guest, or for such other amounts that are the responsibility of the guest (including, without limitation, property damage caused by a guest), in accordance with applicable law. The reservation holder agrees that, in order to guarantee a specific site, reservations of 3 nights or more must be 'Locked In’ and pay the Lock Site Fee. Furthermore, the reservation holder agrees that reservations of 2 nights or less cannot be locked. Any unlocked reservation will have the site assigned at check-in, regardless of the site chosen during the initial booking period. The reservation holder agrees to follow all rules and regulations listed on our arrival map which is given at time of check-in and on our policies page found on our website. The reservation holder agrees that they will register and pay for all guests and extra vehicles. We allow a total of 6 people overnight, 10 people during the day, including the reservation holders. We allow two vehicles on site at a time, including the reservation holder’s vehicle(s). The reservation holder agrees to remove all personal belongings, vacate the campsite, and exit the premises at or before 11AM on departure date.

Family Campground: Powder Horn Family Camping Resort is designed for families and / or couples wishing to vacation. We cannot accommodate groups *of friends, single campers, or guests on work trips. We accept reservations for any family or couple. PHFCR defines “family” as grandparents, parents, children, and grandchildren. PHFCR does not allow groups of siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. unless accompanied by other family members. If you arrive at the park and we identify that you are not a couple or a family as PHFCR defines, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation without refund.

Liability Policy: It is mutually understood and agreed that Powder Horn Family Camping Resort (PHFCR) shall not be liable for personal injury or loss of life to Occupant(s) and/or visitors nor shall Powder Horn Family Camping Resort be responsible for damage to Occupant’s RV, trailers, tents, additions, etc. due to electrical failure, power outage, wind, rain, flood, terrorist act or other casualty loss. The Occupants will indemnify and hold PHFCR harmless from any loss, claim or action which PHFCR may be subject to, with respect to such loss, claim or action including Powder Horn Family Camping Resort’s attorney’s fees.

Age Restriction Policy: PHFCR is a family campground, and would like to maintain a welcoming and safe atmosphere for all our guests; keeping this in mind:

All members in the party must be 18 years or older and a couple unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. We reserve the right to refuse entry or evict person(s) we determine to not meet the criteria without refund.
Our rental unit must be rented by someone age 25 or older.
All members of a party with any person(s) under the age of 21 will be required to provide official state identification upon registration.
Anyone under the age of 21 found consuming or under the influence of alcohol will be faced with police intervention as well as face eviction without refund.
All person(s) will respect quiet hours from 11PM - 8AM. Warnings will be given to not add wood to the fire past 11PM; if further warnings are needed the party will face eviction without refund.

Pet Policy: Pet(s) have/has a daily fee for each pet. Limit 2 pets per site. They also:

Must be leashed at all times and under the supervision of a responsible person 13 years or older.
Are not allowed in pool complexes, playgrounds or buildings.
MUST be cleaned up after immediately and MUST be disposed of properly. Disposal bags are available throughout the park.
May not disturb other guests in any manner.
Are never allowed to be left unattended at campsite, in camping unit, or anywhere in the campground.
All vaccination papers must be present at the campsite.
Aggressive behavior, barking, or general disruption may result in eviction.
Are not allowed in tents or behind soft shell units/doors.
Are not allowed in the cabin or on the cabin site property.
Are not allowed with visitors of guests.
Will not be brought to the swimming pools or in any of the buildings, including the store.
Service animals are allowed per Maine and Federal guidelines; Powder Horn reserves the right to ask Maine and Federal provided questions about a service animal.

Visitors: Day visitors are charged a daily rate per person and additional vehicle fees will apply. Day visitor hours are from 8AM to 10PM. Day visitors must re-register as overnight visitors prior to 9:30PM if they decide to stay overnight. Day visitor fees will be credited toward the overnight visitor fees. Ten people maximum allowed per site during the day. PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED WITH VISITORS.

Overnight visitors are charged a nightly rate per person and additional vehicle fees will apply. Six people maximum allowed overnight per site. Check-out time for overnight visitors is 11AM.

For the safety of the park each guest must be registered with the office prior to entering the park. Overnight visitors may arrive after posted office hours if they are pre-registered and paid for. Overnight visitors who are not registered prior to posted office hours will be denied entry at the gate after said hours. Visitors who are arriving during office hours do not need to be pre-registered but do need to be pre-approved by the site holder or with the site holder on arrival. Both vehicle and visitor charges apply.

To pre-register a visitor you must have all information below ready with payment. If any of this information is missing or incorrect your guest may be denied entry into the park.

Bike Policy: USE OF SKATEBOARDS, LONGBOARDS, HOVERBOARDS, ONEWHEELS, INMOTIONS, RIPSTIKS, ROLLER BLADES, ROLLER SKATES, MINI-BIKES, DRONES, OR ANYTHING HAVING NO BREAKING MECHANISM IS PROHIBITED. GOLF CARTS FOR GUEST USE ARE PROHIBITED ANYWHERE ON CAMPGROUND PROPERTY.

CERTAIN RECREATIONAL MOTORIZED MICRO-MOBILITY DEVICES (E-BIKES, E-SCOOTERS, AND SEGWAYS) MAY BE OPERATED ONLY BY INDIVIDUALS 16 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER WHO POSSESS A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE. A LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED AT CHECK-IN AND CARRIED AT ALL TIMES WHILE OPERATING THE DEVICE. OUR TEAM MAY REQUEST PROOF OF A VALID LICENSE AT ANY TIME WITHIN THE PARK FROM ANYONE USING THE ABOVE SPECIFIED RECREATIONAL MOTORIZED MICRO-MOBILITY DEVICE. RIDERS MUST OBEY RULES OF THE ROAD, I.E. STOP SIGNS AND POSTED 5 MPH.

Maine State Law requires anyone 16 years or younger to wear a helmet while riding a bike. Helmets are recommended for everyone.
Children under the age of 10 must have parent/guardian supervision while riding around the campground learning bike skills.
All bikes must be registered and tagged at the office, free of charge.
Bike tags must always be visible.
No riding in the park after dusk. Bikes must be returned to your site.
No speeding or reckless riding in the park. No wheelies or bike jumping allowed.
Riders must obey rules of the road, i.e. stop signs and posted 5 MPH.
Please use bike racks to park your bike. Any bikes left unattended and incorrectly parked may be moved by Powder Horn staff to ensure easy movement throughout the campground public ways.
No bike riding in the campground driveway, on empty sites, in the horseshoe area, playgrounds, or highly used common areas.
Violations of the above policies will result in loss of bike privileges and may result in removal from the campground.

EV Charging: EV’s, also known as electric vehicles, have gained popularity in recent years. EV’s have large batteries which require a consistent pull of electricity to charge. In comparison, camping units use electric hook-ups which require periodic use of electricity, as needed. Our resort site pedestal’s electrical capabilities cannot support the consistent draw of electricity. Use of our 30 or 50 AMP plugs on our pedestals to charge an EV can result in permanent damages to your vehicle and our pedestal.

For the safety of our guests, park infrastructure, and your vehicle, EV’s can only be charged using your camper unit. Guests will be held responsible for damages that occur from the use of a 30 or 50 AMP plug-in on our pedestals, associated with charging an EV.

WiFi: Complimentary WiFi is available in most sections of the resort. A connection guide is available on the back of your map or on request at our office. The WiFi is provided “as is” and no refunds will be issued for troubles with this service.

Cable: It is understood that we no longer offer cable TV. We recommend guests use a smart TV or streaming stick to watch TV over our WiFi, or use an antenna to get local channels.

Mail and Packages: We know that you might need to receive mail or packages during your stay at Powder Horn. To receive your mail and packages, mail to General Delivery, (Your Name), 2 Cascade Rd Ste 8, Old Orchard Beach, ME 04064.

To help things run smoothly, please avoid using 48 Cascade Road as your delivery address. Unfortunately, we’re unable to accept any mail or packages on behalf of guests, and they will be returned to the sender. Thank you for your understanding!

Changing Sites: If you are changing sites during your reservation, please come to the office at 11AM the day of for a new registration tag. You may remain on your current site until the new site has been vacated and cleaned. Changing sites requires authorization from the office. PLEASE STAY IN THE CAMPGROUND UNTIL YOUR SITE CHANGE IS COMPLETE.

Date Change Policy: Moving dates without penalty requires 30 days advance notification. In the event you need to shorten the dates of your stay, your site number may no longer be honored and any site lock fee will be refunded. Shortening the dates of a reservation more than 24 hours prior to the scheduled arrival date and time will result in a $75 fee per site. Moving dates 29 to 1 day(s) prior to arrival will have a $75 fee per site, and any remaining amount will be refunded onto the payment account which was used for the deposit. Date changes made less than 24 hours prior to arrival time (1:00PM) will not be eligible for any credits or refunds. Shortening or moving of dates less than 24 hours prior to scheduled arrival date and time (1:00PM on check-in date) will result in a fee equal to the cost for the dates that are being shortened or moved. Date changes must be within the same season; no exceptions for late season reservations. This policy does NOT apply to seasonal reservations, For seasonal reservations please see your Seasonal Site Agreement & Seasonal Information and Rates Handbook.

Cancellation Policy: A $75.00 service fee per site booked will be applied to all cancellations, or date changes before any refund will be issued. Reservation cancellations or date changes processed with 30 or more days notification will receive a refund. Credit card payments will only be refunded to the card that was originally charged for deposit. Cancellations made 29 to 1 day(s) prior to arrival date are not eligible for a refund, and all deposits will be forfeited. All cancellations must be submitted via the cancellation request form on our website. All cancellations must be submitted by the reservation holder, regardless of who made the reservation. Failure to check-in on the scheduled arrival date, without notice, will forfeit your site and deposit as of 11AM the following day. Date changes are only allowed in the same season, dates cannot be forwarded to future seasons. This cancellation policy does NOT apply to seasonal reservations. Photography Policy: The reservation holder understands the both Powder Horn Family Camping Resort (PHFCR) staff and independent contractors retained by PHFCR (the “Photographers”) may be taking photographs/videos of guests during their stay for promotional use by the campground [and the Photographers] in all forms of advertising and marketing, unless written notice is given otherwise by a site holder by the execution and delivery to PHFCR management of an “opt out” form.

The reservation holder acknowledges and agrees, for itself and on behalf of their family members or other guests (all, collectively, the “Invitees”), that PHFCR [and the Photographers] may use all photographs, video recordings, audio recording, images and sounds depicting the undersigned and/or such other Invitees (collectively, the “Media”), and may broadcast, stream on the Internet, incorporate into other publications or works, make website displays and social media posts and otherwise publish, air, reproduce, and distribute to the public, and otherwise use the Media and such Invitees’ images, voices or likenesses in all print and electronic media for all of PHFCR’s [and the Photographer’s] promotional and advertising activities related to their respective businesses (collectively, “Promotional Materials”).

The undersigned reservation holder understands that they are granting permission to PHFCR [and the Photographers] to create, produce, publish and use the Promotional Materials without any compensation, and any profits generated from the creation, production, publication and use of such Promotional Materials are for the benefit of and are owned by PHFCR [or the Photographers, as applicable]. The undersigned, for themself and all other Invitees, hereby waives any and all rights the undersigned may have to the Media and the Promotional Materials and releases PHFCR and its employees, agents, representatives and independent contractors from any and all claims of any kind or nature whatsoever that the undersigned may have or that may arise or occur from PHFCR’s [or the Photographers’] publication and use of the Media and the Promotional Materials.
