Park Policies

Check In / Check Out

Check in is at 2 PM, You do not need to check in at the office as long as you have read and signed the terms & conditions and clicked on the green check in. A map of site locations is on the office window if needed. Please note that I.D will be required for your stay and security may come around to check your I.D and reservation. The person that booked a site must be staying in the campground.

Early check in is not permitted. If you will be arriving in the area early, please make arrangements until your site opens up at 2pm as we do not have a waiting area. Check out time is 11am. You do not need to contact the office for check out..

Late check-ins are allowed at any time, please just contact the park for instructions.

If you are staying in our park for 14 days or longer, we require an Application to be approved and agreement to be signed. Please contact park for more details.

Site Changes

You have picked and been assigned a specific site, if there is a problem with your site and you need to move sites we can be reach by phone at 250-252-6614 during office hours and in a emergency. Due to reservations and maintenance, moving may not be possible.

Cancellation Policy

If cancellation is made 30 days in advance of the reservation start date, guest will incur a $25 cancellation fee.

If cancellation is made 14-29 days in advance of the reservation start date, guest will receive a 50% refund.

If cancellation is made 7-13 days in advance of the reservation start date, guest will receive a 25% refund.

No refunds are provided for cancellations made less than 7 days in advance of the reservation start date.

No refunds are provided if you are asked to leave the campground do to Inappropriate behavior or not following campgrounf terms & conditions.

Firepits / Open Fires

Open fires are not allowed in our park. (If no Fire Ban) Fires must be in firepits or designated fire rings. NOTE: Campfire are for fire wood and paper ONLY. Do not brun garbage of any kind or onsite vegetation ie. plates, trees, shrubs or branches. dead or alive. The burning of construction or building materials is prohibited. Do not leave your fire unattened. It is your responsibility to have means of putting it out.

Parking

Please do not park your vehicle, trailer, or boat in an adjacent site. Use of more than one site will result in additional charges.

Storage

Storage is not allowed under or around your RV or picnic table.

Your Campsite

Please keep your site neat and clean. The use of a tarp is only aloud to keep stuff dry during rain and may not be used any other time,

- Throw your recyclables and trash into the marked bins.

- Do not put garbage or cigarette butts in the fire pits.

- Do not leave food outside of any kind, avoid attracting wildlife.

- Clotheslines and hammocks are not permitted in our park.

- Tying items like string, ropes, wire, straps, lights to trees is not permitted.

TENT SITE: a maximum of 2 small 2 person tents allowed per site, tents that are 4 person or mare will require its own site. Most tent site will allow a maximum of 2 vehicles.

Site and Park Navigation

Please be respectful of your neighbor and do not walk between sites when navigating the park. Please use main roads, sidewalks, and designated public paths to walk around the campground.

Washing
Washing RVs or vehicles is only permitted with 1 bucket of water and a sponge. Hose washing is not permitted, as it can result in a mess and disturb your neighbors.

Rugs

Rugs bigger than 3’ x 2’ are not allowed as it kills the grass and we want your site to look good for both you and the next guest.

Pet Policies

Leash
We ask that you keep your pets on a leash at all times. This helps you, your pet, and other guests and other guests’ pets stay safe.

Buildings

Pets are not allowed in the buildings. Please do not tie your pet to our trees, doors, or posts.

Cleaning Up After Your Pet

Be a good neighbor and please clean up after your pet always. Do not let your pet deposit waste on your site or any of our other guests’ sites please. Failure to clean up after your pet will result in you being asked to leave without a refund.

Leaving Pets Unattended
Pets may not be left unattended in our park. Please do not tie your pet to a tree and leave. Leaving your pets unattended is dangerous for your pet as many factors including weather, power outages, etc. can affect your pets well-being while you are away.

Pet Vaccinations
Due to Insurance Requirements, all pets must be vaccinated in our park. Please make sure your pet’s shots are up-to-date.

Barking
Excessive barking is not tolerated and disturbs your neighbors. Please note that excessive barking may result in you being asked to leave without refund.

Vehicle Policies

Speed Limit

The park speed limit is under 10 km or 6 mph. This policy is to keep you, your children, and your pets safe. Exceeding this speed limit will result in a warning. Multiple warnings will require us to ask you to leave. Safety is our number one priority for our guests.

Parking

RV SITE: Each paid guest registration covers 1 RV per site and 1 vehicle per site unless noted.

TENT SITE: Most tent site will allow a maximun of 2 vehicles.

No parking in common areas. Do not park in the middle of the road. Do not park in sites that you did not register for and do not block our garages or our bathroom and laundry room doors. Parking on the grass is not permitted at RV Sites or in tent areas.

General Park Policies

Electrical Use

You are responsible for understanding how many amps you are using in our RV. Amp usage over the 15 or 30 AMPs provided can trip your breaker. Please be mindful of your amp usage, so that you don’t trip your breaker during your stay.

Please notify the office so that we can notify maintenance if you have any electrical issues during your stay. Guests are not permitted to diagnose our electrical pedestals per insurance and safety requirements. Maintenance is happy to help. Even if you are an electrician, laws prohibit you from working on our pedestals unless hired to do so.

Quiet Time Policies

Quiet time is 10 PM to 8 AM. Anyone playing loud music or just being loud will be warned only once and then asked to leave without a refund.

Trash Disposal and Recycling

Please tie trash bags completely closed and put your trash completely in the trash container. Please do not place your trash on the ground. Woodland creates like possums and racoons are attracted to left out or disposed of food and while we think they are cute and wonderful animals, we don’t want you to find a surprise night visiting racoon at your site because of incorrectly disposed of trash! Do not dispose of wires, oil, furniture, mattresses, or any toxic waste or chemicals in our trash cans.

A dumpster is available on the east side of the park. Please do not dispose of any motor oil, cooking oil, wires, furniture, mattresses, or any toxic or hazardous waste items. Failure to adhere to this rule may result in charges for disposal fees.

Children

Children under 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times. Riding bicycles without a parent and on our main entrance road is prohibited for the safety of your children and our incoming RV guests. Anyone under the age of 18 must be back at their site by dusk. Children may not use the restrooms without being accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Drones

Drones are not permitted in our park. Please do not fly drones over people or RVs. There are several local area parks where drones are permitted for your enjoyment.

Clotheslines & Hammocks

Clotheslines and hammocks are not permitted in our park.

Fireworks and Firearms

Fireworks and firearms are strictly prohibited in our park. The prohibiting of fireworks includes sparklers, smoke bombs, aerials, and firecrackers. The prohibiting of firearms includes all guns including air soft, BB, and pellet guns. If these items are seen outside of your RV, you will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.

Repairs

Repairs to RVs and vehicles are not permitted in our park. We are happy to recommend a local Mobile RV Repair service that comes out to your site to assist you with any repairs.

Safety and Emergencies

Emergency Contact Information forms are required from all monthly guests. This information remains private and used only when a situation arises when we need to contact someone in the event of an emergency or is sought by law enforcement agencies. We never give personal information out to others.

If you need to call 911 for any reason, and time allows, please call the office so the Maintenance/Security staff can be prepared to escort the emergency personnel to your site.

Please Note

- There is no Wi-Fi for in the campground. The Wi-Fi is for our Air B&B guests only.

- Cowichan River Campground or its staff are not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property and reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

- You're responsible for your guests conduct and observance of the park rules. This is a privatley owned campground and the right to restrick entry to questionable people / person who may cause a disturbance or become a nuisance, is reserved by Management and the campground staff. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
