Tamworth Campground
Thank you for choosing Tamworth Campground as your camping destination! The following campground rules and regulations are set forth to maintain the safe and sound environment of the campground. If there is anything unclear, please reach out and ask, and we will be happy to assist you.
By registering a reservation, entering the premises, or occupying a campsite, all campers and their guests agree to comply with the campground rules and policies. This agreement is intended to promote the safety, enjoyment, and responsibility of all campers while preserving the natural environment of Tamworth Campground.
CAMPGROUND RULES
- A campsite can accommodate no more than 6 persons regardless of age.
- A campsite can accommodate no more than 2 vehicles. The overflow parking area provides additional parking.
- Check-in: 1:00 PM for campsites and 3:00 PM for rental trailers
- Check-out: 11:00 AM for campsites and rental trailers
- Quiet Hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. No Generators are allowed during Quiet Hours.
- The beach and playground are closed at dusk. No dogs are allowed in or on the beach area and playground.
- Speed limit throughout the campground is 5 MPH.
- No Recreational Vehicles such as ATV’s, UTV’s, Dirt Bikes, Scooters, Golf Carts, etc., are allowed.
- Mail is not allowed to be sent to the campground address.
- Washing of any vehicle or motorhome/trailer is not allowed.
- No firearms and fireworks are allowed on the campground.
- All motorhomes/trailers and vehicles must be insured and registered in the state they reside.
GATE ACCESS
Tamworth Campground is a secure facility that utilizes a card-controlled gate system. To enter the campground with a vehicle, a keycard is required. Each reservation includes one (1) keycard, which you will receive during check-in. A refundable deposit of $25.00 per keycard will be charged to the credit card on file. This deposit will be forfeited if the keycard is not returned at checkout.
FIRE SAFETY
- Campfires are to be lit and contained in the provided fire rings ONLY and extinguished by 11:00 PM as determined by the campground’s current Fire Permit on file.
- Campfires must never be left unattended.
- Trash burning of any kind is prohibited.
- Out-of-state firewood is prohibited.
- Fires should be extinguished when leaving the campsite or retiring for the night.
- Deliveries of bulk firewood by outside vendors are not permitted, and such vendors will not be granted access to the campground.
- NO FIREWORKS ARE ALLOWED ON CAMPGROUND PROPERTY. NO EXCEPTIONS.
TRASH
- ONLY Household trash is allowed in the dumpsters. Dumpsters are placed near the office. Please bag your household trash and dispose of it in the dumpsters provided.
- Items NOT ALLOWED in the dumpsters are cardboard packing materials, styrofoam of any type and size, mattresses & box springs, appliances, furniture, electronics, car batteries, tires, paints & lacquers, propane tanks, fuels, oils and other flammable materials, lawn chairs, lawn furniture, awnings and/or awning frames, barbeques and grills, and anything other than Household trash.
- Trash containers provided throughout the campground are not for the disposal of bagged household trash. Please place bagged household trash in the dumpsters provided.
- Please ensure that all trash is picked up, bagged, and properly disposed of in the designated dumpsters before you check out. Campsites must be left clean and free of litter.
- A $25.00 clean-up fee will be charged if any trash or debris is left behind after departure.
VISITORS
- All visitors must check in, register, and pay the applicable visitor fee(s) at the office before entering the campground.
- Any individual who has not checked in will be considered trespassing and may be asked to leave the property immediately.
- A Visitor Fee is applicable for all visitors, adult and child, regardless of age, visiting day or overnight.
- Campground Management reserves the right to restrict the number of guests per site at any time. Please do not plan events to be held in the park without first notifying the office for review and approval.
- Visitors must leave the park by 10:00 PM unless they have registered and paid as an overnight visitor.
- Per New Hampshire Statue 637:8, day-use or camping on the property or using any of the amenities without paying is considered defraudment, and therefore a theft reportable to the Sheriff’s Department and prosecutable by law.
CHILDREN
Parents are responsible for their children at all times. Children not adhering to the campground rules and policies will be escorted to their parents, and further action may be taken.
- An adult must accompany children under the age of 12 while at the park’s facility buildings and amenities.
- Children 12 years of age or under must have an adult present when swimming.
- For safety reasons, please ensure that your children are playing safely throughout the campground and are abiding by campground rules.
- The playground is available to use from 8:00 AM until dusk.
- Children are to be at their site by 9:00 p.m. and must not be left unsupervised.
- The registered guests are responsible for all actions of their children.
- Children/Adults who damage park property are responsible for the cost of replacement and/or repair, and these costs will be charged to the respective Guest's credit card on file.
PETS
We welcome pets if the following policies are followed:
- Proof of current vaccinations should be presented at check-in and available if requested.
- Per New Hampshire's State law, RSA 466:31, dogs are to be always physically leashed and under the control of their owners. Pets are the responsibility of the owner.
- Pets may not disturb other guests. Barking by your dog(s) is to be controlled and is not to be excessive as to disturb your neighbors, especially during Quiet Hours.
- Pets are not allowed in the playground, water areas/beach, or inside campground facilities except where posted.
- Aggressive pet behavior will not be tolerated, and you may be asked to leave your pet at home if aggressive behavior occurs.
- Pets are limited to two (2) per site, unless permission is provided by Campground Management in advance.
- Pets are not to be left unattended.
- Do not allow young children to walk your pets if they are not able to control them.
- Always clean up after your pets.
- Campground Management reserves the right to restrict disruptive or aggressive breeds from the campground.
ALCOHOL / SMOKING / DRUGS
- Alcohol is permitted on your site. No alcohol is permitted in public and communal areas.
- The legal drinking age is 21 years old.
- Keep your alcohol locked up and not out in the open if you leave your site.
- Alcohol and smoking/vaping are not allowed in the campground’s facility buildings and structures or recreational areas.
- No illegal drugs are allowed on campground property.
- Campground Management will not tolerate any excessive partying or loud noise. Any guest failing to comply will be required to leave without exception or refund.
- Verbal or physical violent behavior of any kind will result in immediate expulsion from the campground without exception or refund.
EMERGENCIES
In case of an emergency, please dial 911 or call local authorities - Carroll County Sheriff (603) 539-2284.
CAMPGROUND SERVICES
- Firewood, ice, propane, and basic supplies are available for purchase at the Campground Office.
- Wi-Fi is available in the area around the campground office. The Wi-Fi password is posted in the office.
- The laundry room is provided for the use of registered Campground Guests only.
- These machines are not coin-operated and will require the use of an app downloaded on a smartphone.
- The app is "Laundry Connect Pay".
- Laundry Room is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Unaccompanied children are not allowed in the laundry room.
- Please note the Laundry Room rules as posted.

ELECTRIC VEHICLES
- Charging of any Electric Vehicles (EVs) or Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) is NOT allowed and strictly prohibited.

- Cancellation After Arrival – No Refund
- RV/Tent/Transient Sites:
- Cancellation – (0-14 Days from reservation start date) – No Refund.
- Cancellation – (15-30 Days from reservation start date) - Full Refund, minus a 25% cancellation fee on reservation total.
- Cancellation – (31+ Days from reservation start date) - Full Refund, minus a 10% cancellation fee on reservation total.
- Cabins/Lodging Rentals:
- Cancellation – (0-30 Days from reservation start date) – No Refund.
- Cancellation – (31+ Days from reservation start date) - Full Refund, minus a 10% cancellation fee on reservation total.
- Seasonal Cancellations:
- If you are a Seasonal Guest and decide to cancel your reservation, you must contact Campground Management. The campground will hold the $1,000 non-refundable deposit. Any payments made before the park opening will be refunded, less the deposit. If the cancellation occurs during the camping season, a refund will not be issued. If the campground finds a seasonal replacement for your site, then a refund will be granted back to you in the amount of the newly sold site, less the non-refundable deposit.
- Holiday Weekends:
- No refunds on cancellations of reservations for holiday weekends, regardless of the length of advance notice.
- 2025 Holidays:
- Memorial Day Weekend - (05/23/2025 - 05/26/2025)
- 4th of July Week - (06/30/2025 - 07/06/2025)
- Labor Day Weekend - (08/29/2025 - 09/01/2025)
- Columbus Day Weekend - (10/10/2025 - 10/13/2025)
Any applicable charges will be added to your reservation in Campspot.
We are required by our insurance company and by state laws to enforce these rules. We assume no responsibility for accidents, injuries, or losses from any cause. We reserve the right to change or modify these rules. While we strive to provide a positive experience for all guests, we reserve the right to restrict camping access and may ask individuals to leave the property if circumstances require.
By accepting this reservation, Guest hereby waives, releases, and discharges and covenants not to sue Tamworth RV LLC, dba Tamworth Campground, for all claims and liability for personal injury, accidents, property damage, and any other claim arising out of or in connection with Guests’ use of the Rental/Property. Further, Guest agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Tamworth Campground from all losses, claims, expenses, and demands, including attorneys’ fees, that Tamworth Campground may incur arising out of or in connection with Guests’ use of the Rental/Property. Guest further agrees to be responsible and liable for the actions and safety of every person in their group. Tamworth Campground reserves the right to remove any renter, occupant, or guest who is subject to a lifetime registration requirement under a State sexual offender registration program.
Management shall not be held liable or responsible for non-utilization of package components or loss of recreational opportunities due to weather or any other circumstances beyond our control.
Tamworth Campground or its Management bears no responsibility for any loss or damage to any person or property or thing, howsoever caused.
The Management reserves the right to evict any day user, guest, camper, or group of campers for any cause.
