1000 Islands Campground is a privately owned campground which focuses on a community spirit. At the playground you can find a wooden boat (Missbehavin'), Kidd's Kastle, and wooden Farmall tractor/hay wagon. Enjoy a wagon that provides occasional hayrides around the campground. The sites have their own picnic tables and many campers enjoy campfires in their fire rings. Many campers join in the many festivals that are offered by Alexandria Bay, Clayton, and Cape Vincent. Events such as Pirate Week festivities in Alexandria Bay in August, weekly concerts in Clayton and Cape Vincent, multiple craft fairs, fireworks in Clayton and Alexandria Bay, multiple fishing tournaments, and so many more activities . Most Friday nights from the week after Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend there is an antique car cruise-in at the ice cream store directly in front of the campground.
