Happy National Forest Week!

by Team CampspotJul 9, 2021
Happy National Forest Week!

The US National Forests can provide just as many recreational opportunities as its federal sibling, the National Park Service. Better yet, while National Parks manage their campgrounds and outdoor recreational activities, campgrounds and other outdoor recreational businesses located on National Forest property are privately run, and often family-owned. What this means for campers is more services and camping opportunities on beautiful, preserved land. Thus, while the National Parks are experiencing an enormous boom in visitor numbers, the enormity of the National Forest Land can provide outdoor enthusiasts the peace and refuge they seek.

To celebrate National Forest Week, we’ve rounded up a handful of campgrounds on or nearby National Forest land that can be found on Campspot.
