Adventure Bound Washington DC — Reviews

The Staff was very welcoming and helpful. The location was great for adventures in various sites in the area. The bath Facilities were very nice. The site is not well cared for. The park is cluttered and crowded together. Many of the RV’s have multiple vehicles, trailers, and other debris scattered/stored on their small lots. The nature trail could be nice, but has garbage and refuse from the RV park scattered along its length. While the Halloween decorations were welcome, some of them had sound effects that went off during the night, which made it hard to get a good night’s sleep.

Nice place, but the sites are crammed together.

Very flexible to allow us to select a great site so we didn’t need to unhitch that night.

We didn't have sewer other then that it was good.

We had to leave early because of threat of coastal flooding. Campground is older than we are accustomed to.

Everything was good except I couldn’t get my Starlink to work. It’s not necessarily because of the campground, but there’s just too many trees.

This campground is more for long-term stays and has few short-term rental sites. The long-term campers look pretty rough and the campground has zero atmosphere but it was quiet.

It was good, but not what we expected. 80% of the park was residential camping. It was very quiet and pretty landscaping, but we weren’t getting the family vibe. If you are looking for a place to park to visit DC, I would recommend. If you are looking for a campground community feel, this is just not it.

Not the best of camp grounds. Is not well kept. We arrived at 4.58 pm on Saturday and the office was already shut. ( I know it does shut at 5.00 pm). Office not open on Sunday - we are international visitors and could not get local information.

Did not feel like this park was as advertised. Expected a KOA-type park and instead it's basically a mobile home park with a lot of long term residents. If that's what you're looking for, this may be your spot, but it's not where I wanted to spend my vacation. From the looks of them, would not recommend the rental RV option they advertise. Pros - the entrance was gated, the staff was friendly, there was a nice (life-guarded) pool, and nice laundry facilities.

Grass needs to be mowed, major pot holes.

Campground was in terrible shape, roads were full of potholes, sites were full of weeds, spaces were tight and most of the campers were there full time and were run down and filthy. The staff acted like you were bothering them if you needed to ask any questions. The pool was an off-putting green and was never open. They say that it is a resort, but it is anything but.

Maintenance of the grounds/ bathhouse/ facilities were much lower than standard and expected.

The campsite was clean and the employees were very nice and helpful. The only negatives is that the sights are very close and most of the sights are full time residents.

The sites were not very wide and the campground was very full. There appeared to be mostly full time and seasonal campers so a lot of sites were crammed with ‘stuff’. There was a large laundry but with so many full timers it was busy. The store was like an RV supply store, no food or paper goods, etc.
