The lake was so beautiful. There were pelicans and they were amazing. Great camp spots right by the lake and in the morning this incredible fog rolled in … the sun burned it off mid morning to reveal awesome mountains covered in snow. Over all a great spring camping experience.

No directions how to pull in so looped 2x with a long camper before we realized that you enter counter clockwise to be able to back in. Everything else was fine.

We intentionally picked a campsite by a restroom and the restroom was out of service. we had to walk to the other side of the campsite and there was usually a line to wait in.

Not their fault, but mosquitoes were bad…we stayed inside rig until it cooled enough that mosquitoes were gone. We have camped there before and it’s quiet and peaceful. The dark sky is absolutely the best there! They are doing some work around the reservoir shoreline, but we were not impacted. Clean bathrooms, friendly host, lots of boaters in and out but not bothersome. It’s a good stop!

Your camp Oest was a joke! He let his buddies play music loud until 1 o’clock in the morning, giving no respect to the other campers. It literally could be heard all around the entire campground (heavy metal AC DC). The next day when asked by my son and I, he lied and said that he had gotten in late and then put headphones on for the night and didn’t realize what was going on. However, when my husband walked over there, he was present with the group of guys. He spent his entire days fishing with this group of men, and his obscene language was so offensive and non-stop exhausting that people would leave the fishing cove just to get away from him.

The camp host there was absolutely awful. His own campsite was trashed and when he came to talk to us he was very rude and seemed like he was on drugs. He was also driving around. His own vehicle all off trails all around the area leaving trash where he was. We really loved coming to Antero before but this might be our last time.

Showed up and my spot that I reserved was given to another camper. I had to take the spot next to it. It was still good but was not my preferred spot that had a better view of the lake. When you reserve and pay for the spot it should be yours not given to someone else that did not want to move.
