I only stayed one night, just passing through but this is a very beautiful spot! Everything was working properly and the host was nice. There is even a boat ramp there you can use so if you are looking for a place to hang out with the boat, this would be it!

The overall stay was good. My only little grip was that our site was a little flooded especially by the fire ring. Hopefully next time some of the puddles can be filled in with gravel.

Very quiet and peaceful campground. There is a train track very close though. It does run all night. There were at least 3 or 4 trains that came through after 10 pm. Other than that, the only sounds are nature and other campers. I would stay here again. It is very close to Jefferson and yet far enough away to be in the ambiance of the Cypress Bayou.

Over all it was nice and quiet but their was two things that should have been done and took care of before we got their when we were told that these things were and they were NOT.The grass was not cut and they have a ant problem don’t know if it’s all over but we’re the black tank goes in their was a big pile of ants. Not if I was told there was an ant problem that’s different but I was not told. So I went up to the front office and the lady that was covering the place at the time was so very nice and said well I’m the only one here but how can I help? So I said well do you have a shovel or anything to take care of them so she gave me a shovel and a can of wasp spray it worked some what anyways all that said it’s a small nice place if your just wanting to just sleep and look at the river channel that’s about it.
