These waterfront back-in sites are highly preferred by our guests. Each is enhanced with a creosote pole outline of the RV site and side picnic area. Each has a little extra grassy area adjacent to the site for sitting or parking a boat trailer. Site #22 is close to the boat ramp. The camper door opens to the river. Site #23 is farthest from the boat ramp and is a little more isolated. The camper is backed in parallel to the river, so the driver side of the camper faces the river, but there's plenty of room to place chairs on the river-side for the water view.
Sites #25 & #27 are back-in sites on the row farthest from the water. Each is considered aa Premium Site due to these amenities: Site #25 has a patio cover over the picnic area. This superior back-in site will accommodate a large rig and offers a good view of the river from the rear of your camper. The site has been leveled with gravel, and a covered patio sits right outside your door. Bring your camp chairs and hang out for smores at the fire pit. Launch your boat at our ramp and keep an eye on it from your campsite across the small park road. This is the best site in the house!
This uniquely decorated Texas Two-Step Cabin is a one bedroom cabin with a Queen bed and private bath with a tub/shower combo and is designed for a family, or adults needing 3 separate beds. In addition to the private bedroom, the living room contains 2 futon couches that each convert into a standard, double bed. The cabin can accommodate up to 6 people, maximum – 2 in the bedroom and 4 in the living room. It comes complete with a full-sized kitchen which includes refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, toaster, blender, and drip coffee maker. The Caddo Mobile Home is a three bedroom, 2 bathroom redecorated home around the corner and within a short walking distance of the RV park on Big Cypress Bayou where you can drop a line and fish from the docks or launch your boat at the boat ramp. Two bedrooms are furnished with Queen beds and one bedroom has bunk beds, so there are beds for 6 people. If you have a large crowd – a group of fishermen, perhaps – up to 5 more people can sleep in the living room on these furniture pieces that lay completely flat: Couch, love seat, recliner. The two full bathrooms have walk-in showers. Unlimited Wifi is provided, and the cabin has a "Smart" TV for your convenience in accessing all of your personal streaming outlets. The Primitive tent camping area is about 3 acres of sparsely wooded grassland. The price is $15 per tent per night, plus booking fees. There are two entrance points from Longs Camp Road where the guest can drive into the campground and park beside a favored area for setting up their tent. Several picnic tables and rock fire ringare scattered throughout. We limit the area to about 6 tents, unless an outdoor adventure group or scout troop reserves the entire area (by calling 903-679-3427) during which 20 or more tents can be accommodated. There is no water or electricity at the site, and generators are not allowed. Water can be drawn from the faucet behind the picnic table at the Backwater Jacks office building. Spacious, clean restrooms and showers are accessible on the West side of the office building at all times.
