Nice campground and very reasonably priced.

This is a wonderful campground. NEW, clean, and the owner was so helpful and kind. We are planning another trip back to visit the surrounding areas. While driving to the campground we came upon a herd of buffalo. We weren't expecting all this awesomeness. Beautiful drive we went through a refuge on our way to the park. We later found out , the refuge has trolly rides through the prairie and buffalo viewing. Also we were told there is an elk herd, but we didn't see any. And McPherson, KS State fishing lake next to campground. This place is quiet and serene. Absolutely recommend to fellow travelers.07/12-07/14/2024

The staff were very friendly and the facilities were well maintained.

The showers, and the kitchen area are great. The owner of the park is a great person, and easy to get along with. He’s very helpful too.

Nice park, very convenient to the Maxwell Wildlife Refuge

Campground is 6 miles off highway on a dirt/gravel road. Sites have no shade but are roomy. Mostly full-timers.

Unfortunately cars were driving through the park all night disturbing my sleep. OTH the facilities were great, I mean the showers/laundry. So I left clean and laundered only a wee bit tired.

Beautiful location. Well maintained. Water, electric, and sewer are superb. Friendly and helpful owner. Well worth the long slow drive required to get there.

Early season clean up wasn’t complete but it’s a nice quiet campground. Quiet is the key word especially as I listen to semis rolling by in OKC

the owner, Raymond, was very nice, a local farmer. Also on Harvest Hosts. Has a few items for sale and nice bathrooms. Stayed in site 31 at the far end corner, enjoyed seeing the cows just over a wood fence in the Park.

Nice large, level sites. Clean & well kept. Didn’t use bath house or community room, but when the owner showed us those facilities they were very nice. Enjoyable walks to the lake & a great tour of the Maxwell Game Preserve. We will be back!

Campground was very clean and quiet. The sites are level. There is a large inside meeting space which would be perfect for a large group or family reunion. The campground is just minutes from the Maxwell Wildlife Refuge, which is definitely worth seeing. The owner was more than helpful and very friendly. If you want a quiet, peaceful place way out in the country, this is the place for you. We enjoyed our stay.

Location location location. We were in the area to catch the Saturday tram ride through the Maxwell Wildlife Refuge and the campground is less than 3 miles from Maxwell. This is a new campground which the owner/developer has put much thought and money into. The sights are large, and where do you find full hookups for $25? There is a very nice clubhouse/event center complete with kitchen, tables and chairs enough to seat 60 to 75, restrooms, showers and a laundry. There are two play areas for children. Something for everyone. Depending on which way you are coming from the roads are dirt. High speed dirt roads. Can you make it in a Class A? Absolutely. We will return to this hidden gem.

The host is very hospitality. The facility is great, showers, laundry room. Truly recommended!
