Bayou Barataria RV Park — Reviews

Nestled back away from much of the hustle of the nearby city the entrance looked a lot scarier than it was when passing over the short bridge to reach the entrance. Our 32-foot rig with it a Maverick in tow made it over with our a scrape. The evenly spaced drive-thru spots were clean, pedestals were maintained and the water pressure was constant and steady. Neighbors were friendly and pets were picked up after by the few tenants that we saw. The park host was friendly and available with our late check-in, offering access to facilities, and other accommodations the park had to offer. Though we had a short stay we felt safe, watched over and welcomed . Thank you.

Nice level campsites, nice shower and laundry room

Park was clean, had working washers and dryers, bathrooms were sizable and clean. Proximity to the French Quarter was nice.

The manager was very accommodating and very friendly! I would definitely stay here again!😊

This place is not a resort, yet. But the caretaker came by to share with me that they had recently been bought by a bigger company. They have plans to really dress up the place. In the meantime, electricity and water work great, so it’s a decent place to hang your hat.

The location is awful. The sound of a motor pump unit that is huge in the middle of the park ran constantly the smell from that pump set up and or buy you was awful. The Dog Park was nice the washrooms and laundry, extremely old and crude. Electric worked fine. The water had a leak and sprayed all over the place. The sewer had no cover on it …..so it was just left exposed with a big crack in the pipe. When you look at the website, the photos look really nice really nothing representative of the place even a shot showing the Bayou with foliage and it looks like that’s your view was nowhere to be found there. Also, the owner manager does not stay on premises. If you need them you have to call on the phone. The price of this stay was $74 ……$24 maybe would’ve been the right number Some sort of refund would be appropriate as this place does not command $74 at all.
