Black Beach Campground — Reviews

Nice spacious camping site with close proximity to services and attractions. Restrooms and shower house were maintained in excellent condition. We will definitely return here.

There was never a person there to buy wood from or to get the code for the bathrooms from. The area to set up a tent was too close to the fire pit. Love the set up if I was in a camper. Lisa

After arriving and finding the spot unsuitable, we tried contacting the campsite several times and left messages. We ended up staying at a nearby hotel. We are now back home and still have not heard from anyone.

Great location, ATV’s on trails were annoying when coming in late at night, but that only happened a couple times. WI-FI was strong place was clean.

Location was great. Right in the middle of many things we wanted to do (Gooseberry St Park, Tettegouche St Park, etc.), and great access to Black Beach. Bathrooms needed more attention (more hand sanitizer and TP in the vault toilets, etc.). Overall, a good stay, for sure. Nice, new bathroom facilities.

Nice, Close to Black Beach

Nice central location in North Shore, clean bathrooms and showers, quiet family friendly campground with playground, short bike ride or walk to Black Beach (about 1/2 mile to mile depending on where you are in campground).

No one would answer the phone or was in the office even though we were there during the office hours. All sites are full sun and no on-site dump station.

We love it here! Been staying here a few times per year since it opened!

Third time visiting black beach love the campground! But was very hard to contact anyone to try to cancel reservations or try to move to different dates called for weeks and no calls back got a hold of a person once and said I’d get a call back and never received one! Very disappointed with the communication!

Perfect location for our visiting the North Shore. Utilities worked fine, including Wi-Fi. Pad was level, although no trees for shade. Vault toilet was clean and we saw city employees constantly around cleaning and prepping for next guests. Would definitely stay again!
