Brazos River Hideout — Reviews

The people were great but when you offer full hookups that means you have potable water. This place did not have potable water, and bathrooms were not cleaned. I went to empty my holding tank and it overflowed at the ground pipe because there was water and silt just sitting in it. I won’t be staying there again with a motorhome. As I said, the lady that showed me the site was fantastic, friendly, helpful, and very welcoming. I don’t think it’s a good spot for a motorhome but maybe a pull behind or tent camping would be good.

Outstanding…. Fun! And Ryan , the park host was the friendliest and most helpful person we’ve ever come across at any of our campgrounds we’ve visited! We’d go back just because of Ryan alone. She was the e best! Great campground. Lots of fun.

You should be told that there is no portable water at your campsite. And when I made the reservation and inquired about off leash dogs, I was assured that there weren’t any, but there were. Other than that it’s a beautiful place very quiet and it was nice, but it would’ve been nice to have drinking water.

Despite the crazy weather conditions Brazos River Hideout was a great spot! Beautiful views, well maintained and memorable times! We will definitely come back! Thanks again!!

Beautiful location on the Brazos and maintained very well. Very friendly staff and never go more than a couple hours without staff driving through campground to assist you if you need anything.

Loved the site, everyone was pleasant and respectful. Great place for the kids with ONE MAJOR EXCEPTION. The sticker burrs, they are everywhere and constantly getting in and under your shoes and socks. Other than than, a very nice and pleasant getaway. My husband is the “camper” however this was mu FIRST time and I enjoyed my weekend of camping.

Great facility! Very easy river access, staff was accommodating. Ten minute drive from town. Easy to use sewer dump station on the way out! We’ll definitely be back!

A perfect place to disconnect and have fun. The facilities and campsites were well maintained and staff was very friendly. Many of the campsites have huge, beautiful trees providing lots of shade. We will definitely be back!

The place was beautiful and well taken care of great place to stay the only complaint I had was the noise from fellow campers late at night

Susan was a very great host at the Brazos River Hideout! She communicated effectively! The views were perfect and we will be back in the summer for another fun trip!

Nice quiet getaway. Clean campsite, bathrooms , showers , and laundry room. Super friendly and helpful management. They really saved us when we came ill-equipped. Great location on the beautiful Brazos River.

Nice spot to get away from the city. Everyone was extremely nice and inviting. They have firewood and ice for sale right there, and you can rent river floaties there as well!

Loved this place - most sites nicely shaded, easy access to the river. Small and quiet with little traffic. We loved all the stars and the fireflies at night! Looking forward to going back

A very nice place to stay. The children loved playing in the river and the tubes they rent out were a plus too! Would definitely stay again.

The RV camping at the Brazos River Hideout was amazing. The campground area is very well maintained. Patrick was outstanding from our check in through check out. He was available for any questions we had and even provided assistance at the dump station on our way out. He really put a lot of effort into making sure all the guests were well taken care of. We will return, just an amazing spot and off the beaten path. Highly recommend staying here.
