Buck Lake Ranch — Reviews

Close to everything we needed. The campground is definitely aged but we really only needed electricity and water. Easy in and out. We will likely return as the price was right for the area.

Had a great time as always at buck lake everyone is so welcoming and willing to help if needed.

This park has gone down hill since the last time we stayed. The beach area and the grassy area on the lakefront is full of geese feces and very hard to walk the dogs with them stepping all over it. You need to a better job of keeping this cleaned up. We were booked until Sunday and ended up leaving early on Saturday. They say no dogs on the beach, but there is no area where they can swim and cool off. The area by the docks used to be clean enough that they could do that. Very doubtful we will be back.

No sites had number we weren’t sure where to park. Sites were on the smaller side. No picnic tables. And really the scenery wasn’t all that grand either. Honestly the best part was the history.

I wish the beach and water would have been cleaner. It would be nice to have some decent picnic tables. I wish some of the seasonal people on the water front sites would keep the sites cleaner and not so trashy.

Great environment and great people always have a great time here.

We did not stay in our cabin as it was fly infested. Very disappointed in Buck Lake Ranch.

A relic from the past.

Absolutely amazing place, piece and quiet. If older and that’s what your wanting. Not a lot for kids to do there a lake to swim in.

Small older campground but,nice. Everyone there was curtious and helpful. A special shout out for Candy. Check in was so smooth. We will be back.

We had waterfront site F11. The sites are small, and hard-packed gravel. No picnic tables at the sites, either. The pictures on the website do not accurately show the sites as they actually are. There was scarcely any room to set up our 10X10 canopy so we'd have a dry place to sit and eat other than inside a hot camper if it rained. Also, no shower house, at least not in an obvious place, and small single-stall bathrooms so there were regularly lines of people waiting to get in them (to their credit, the bathrooms WERE clean...). And the staff was courteous, friendly, and helpful. Camp store was reasonably stocked with the basics. Just the campsites where we were located, and the bathrooms, left much to be desired.

Unfortunately we didn't have any wifi because no one was at the campground to register us or give us info about the campground. Since it was raining, there was very little fir us to do.
