Buffalo Springs Lake Campground — Reviews

Cool place, facilities were nice and the marina had good food and live music. Only downside is the day passes for the lake are high and not included in the price of the campground.

I was only limited to one location in the park and the sites were really close together. I saw many other places I would have liked to pitch my tent and I didn’t like the fact that you could only have one tent on the spot, when my neighbor had two tents. They told us at the gate that that rule was strictly enforced?

Went for a quick getaway. Area was well maintained kids loved it.

This was our first time there and it was very clean and the bathrooms were clean and stocked and the shower was hot. I didn’t like that there was no shower head and no shower curtain. Also we should be able to put two tents on one spot.

Great park

While I paid for a full-hookup site, the sewer receptacle was 1) on the wrong side of the site (many sites were like that), and 2) the receptacle was higher than mutant outlet (and I have lifted my trailer. The sites are back-in to the back end of the other trailer. The sites have 2 sites in what most places would consider one pull-through site. Sites are too short for 2 trailers and their tow vehicles. Restroom/shower facilities are in very sorry shape. Pavement in both the driving areas and the pads is in sad shape, with many potholes. When I backed a bit to use the neighboring site's sewer connection (which put it on the correct side of my trailer, and downhill), flow was slow, and caused overflow of the drain. Have not had that happen anywhere else. I felt they are charging too much for the condition of the campground.

Spectacular views in every direction and natural features beckoning to be explored. A natural lakkeside oasis teaming with life. Full power & water, plus switchable lightpost. Restrooms & dumpster nearby.

So peaceful no problem. Liked there was security throughout the day

This Lake is beautiful by nature and absolutely beautifully kept—no trash, well-kept grounds and probably the cleanest Lake you’ll ever find…Each site has plenty of space to itself, giving a relaxing sense of privacy. Parents will be forever grateful if you have fun things to occupy their kids. This place simply has a magical feeling. I don't remember the Honest Woman Name that gave us our camp ticket, but I just want y'all to know that she is an honest employee, and outstanding human being. We accidentally paid her more than what we were supposed to and she went out of her way to find us to call us to let us know that we overpaid. We thank you so much. That’s the part you don’t expect. Yeah, we’ll be back.”

Nothing against the people. It was way too hot to stay and camp in a tent. I did not stay and the staff knows. I had to get a hotel. I would like a refund plz

Not worth the money $58 with having to pay day pass plus site after 6 pm and not even electricity for this price. Extremely noisy with people driving thru after 1 am hooting and hollering plus spraying at 4:20 am. Extremely disappointing and would never recommend this to anyone. Would of been better staying at a cheap motel.

Absolute garbage. Water stinks, caught fish with skin diseases and it they nickle and dime you for everything, a.k.a. "price gouge". Will not be back, but am considering filing a lawsuit.

We were there for only one night but loved this little gem of a campground. We will return.

Way to expensive!! It says on the website when you book a camp site it does not include entrance we missed that part. $100 for the RV site and $166 in entrance fee’s for three nights. Police that work at the park don’t bother waiving at them they won’t acknowledge you none of them will pretty much no one will. Seems to be a pretty unfriendly place.

We were in spot A-13 and it’s not a great spot for us and what we need but there are other spots that will work out perfectly for the next visit! So much to do here and I really can’t wait to plan another weekend!

Facility was poorly maintained. There was no sign to direct you to your sight. You are charging too much plus additional $ 10 to enter the campground. I will not stay at Buffalo Spring lake again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
