Buffalo Springs Lake Campground — Reviews

We absolutely loved it this weekend!! The cap host was nice and introduced himself. Grounds were well maintained and the restrooms/shower facilities were nice and clean as well! We’ll definitely be back again!

In the middle of the night there was the sound of a jet engine that started up. No idea what it was.

The park was clean and the grass green. If the holes could be filled would make everything perfect!!

Not really designed for big rigs. Tree limbs too low.

The camp host was very intrusive and rode around on their golf cart staring at campers. I have never experienced this here. Camp host is not camp police-there are actual police at this lake. We weren’t even doing anything. No music. Just quiet relaxation. Very odd and unsettling. And the camp host has the “prime” camp spot…really? Love the lake. Have camped here for years. But this host needs to move on.

Pads r in terrible shape. Pot holes and broken hard top. Lots low hanging trees that can damage the air conditioners or RV top. RV areas need much work and upgrades.

This is a very nice campground! The weather was great and the camp spot we chose S26 was right by the water. Prices drop on Oct 1st so it's a bargain.

The area was beautiful. Everyone was respectful of the rules. I would have given 5 stars if our spot had been a little bigger. Several spots were much larger and I felt the difference in sizes varied so much.

It was great weather peaceful and quiet. Both nights. Fishy some but mostly enjoyed being out there.

We had to find another site due to the rv connections on the campsite would not work. Once we were set-up on the other campsite. The water and electical connections were on the driver's side of our RV,where they should be and the sewer connection was on the oposite side of the RV and in the way of our actual campsite area. It wasn't pleasant to look at the sewer hose and step over it if you needed to get anything from the RV campartments. Not to mention the ordor coming from the sewer line.

Awesome place to stay. Camp Hosts were always around and checking to make sure we had no issues. Lake patrol constantly on patrol made for safety comfort. Just all in all staff and personal at this facility were friendly in every way. From the gate girl upon arrival to marina staff and the waving good bye after three nites. Five star treatment.

They send out rules saying “if you don’t follow these you will be removed” but don’t enforce them. Our neighbor had a professional sound system parting and drunk yelling till 2 am while we were camping with a 3 year old and a newborn. Quiet hours were listed as after 10. Several people came by and they didn’t stop, they were even parked near the CAMP HOST. They only took it seriously the second night, but we were already exhausted at the start of our trip.

Very peaceful and the area and campgrounds were we.l maintained. The mosquitoes were ferocious but nothing BSL could do about that. Looking forward to our next visit. Oh, the people at the Texas Twister were great, so was the food.. our doggies especially loved their burgers!

We camped for 3 nights. We came to fish and enjoy the outdoors. We found Buffalo Springs Lake to be very well maintained and super friendly. We can’t in the middle of the week and so it was very quiet and peaceful. We had a campfire every night and it was beautiful. We visited the crappie house and had a wonderful time fishing. Even caught a couple. Lol we will definitely be back big fans.
