Cajun Heritage RV Park — Reviews

Really great camground in the middle of the Atchafalaya swamp! Easy pull through site just off I-10 with a pool and camp store loaded with Cajun and local merchandise and food. We will be back!

Great park except for the mosquitos that move in at night.

When we arrived a notice was at the front desk indicating not to drink the water. We were not notified prior to arrival of any issues.

I do not like to give negative reviews so I will start with the pros. Very nice secluded campground with a rustic outdoor feeling. Very quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Something is wrong with their water supply. Water was yellow and had a very strong rust smell to it. Other than that a great stay, but the water prevents me from giving a higher star rating.

Staff was friendly, property was clean/well kept…water supply is contaminated (possibly rusty pipes) will stain white clothing and smells strongly of metal. Wouldn’t drink or shower in the water(even an inline filter didn’t help) If water issue were fixed we would consider staying again

We’ve visited Cajun Heritage RV Park once last Nov 2025 and again recently. It was real crowded at the Gumbo Cookoff but we had a great time. This spring there were less people and it was different but nice. We enjoyed both trips very much. (We had a issue with our camper on this last visit and had to leave earlier than we wanted to.)

Super nice people and the park was very family friendly.
