Camp Deer Trails — Reviews

Camp site was clean and quiet. We booked a spot right off the lake in the back of the property. Still within a short walk there is an outhouse and just a bit further there is a newly built restroom area for both male and female. Also shower has nice hot water. You can find plenty of wood wood on the property from fallen trees, or you can buy some from the office near the community hall / beach area. The lake is beautiful with plenty of fish, we catch and release. Mostly caught large mouth bass, but while we were kayaking we seen many bluegill and sunfish as well as some perch. We will definitely be back.

Quite, right off the water, each space has it's own picnic table and firepit, wood is for sale in the campground (cash only, honor system), and the bathrooms are fairly clean with AC. Prices are fair, will spread the word and be going back!

Great rustic getaway! Owners are very pleasant, campgrounds are a throwback in time which we loved! Sunsets are beautiful on the lake. Great for boating, kayaking, canoeing etc! Our kids enjoyed swimming, walking the trails and fishing. They didn’t love the walk to bathroom, but there are “outhouses” close, but not too close, to every site. If you want less rustic they have cabins, we talked with people staying in one and they said they were very clean. They don’t have a general store, but there is a gas station/ general store with basic provisions and delicious pizza, 5 minute drive away. We will definitely be going back!!

This was such an amazing weekend get away! Our camp site was perfect, our view of the lake was so refreshing. So many fun activity’s to be found walking around, and free kayaks and canoes!!!! 10/10 would recommend. Customer service was amazing as well! Didn’t get to our site till 1am had problems finding it, we called and I believe her name was Chelsea woke up and helped navigate us right to our spot. Thank you camp deer trail for a much needed refreshing trip! Can’t wait to return soon.

The tent sites were not as appealing as we had hoped. The boats were not in the best shape. However, the scenery was pretty and was nice and quiet :)

Beautiful campground! The sights are gorgeous, there was always someone available to ask questions, and I loved all the different boats up for use!
