Camp Fimfo Waco — Reviews

Very clean facilities excellent restrooms. I was very thankful for the handicap, shower and toilet and lots of options for the grandkids.

This campground had the best balance of rules/expectations with uninhibited fun. My family did not want to leave and that has only happened one other time in all our travels!

Only negative was that the store wasn't open the Monday we were there and we needed something.

Very nice campground, well marked, clean, quiet. I would stay there again.

Well I would have given it higher because the staff and facility is always great. However this time there was no way to reach anyone after hours to deal with people who violated the quiet time. Full party going on until 2-3am, loud cars left idle and kids running all over the place. Nobody answered the emergency number.

The sewer was a stronger smell. May need some maintenance. Overall the grounds were clean and nice. The staff was great. It was a good experience

One pet peave! There are no numbers painted on the RV site pads that are cisanle at night or day. You have to look at small numbers located on the electric box. Very annoying and time consuming. Paint numbers on the pads next to the road so they are visible to the guests. !!!

Loved the layout. Not many of the amenities at this time of year. Will definitely be back. We’re supporters of McLennan College baseball.

Awesome staff! Clean, friendly, lots of activities for kids and adults.

Not many planned activities for kids and the pool had no shade at all unless you bought a cabana. There were 3 umbrellas at the water park and that was it. Everything else was great.

Bathhouse a/c not working for entire week, paid extra to “lock in” a site that we selected, BUT… site not prepared- not mowed, fire ants - didn’t you know I was coming ? Staff in general were not very friendly- they looked like they didn’t want to be there. This place has great amenities and would be great for a family vacation .. but there is a lot that needs to be addressed- especially at the price charged.

The activities offered and the facilities were excellent. The amount of activities offered were fantastic. There was one incident at the waterpark. One of the attendants covering the waterslides was extremely inappropriate during an incident with a child. The child was visiting with a church group. The child was attempting to climb up the slide. Understandably this behavior is not appropriate however, the attendant began yelling, screaming at the child while demanding to know where her parents were. She was also calling her "red top" because the girl had read hair. The entire splash pad stopped while she was yelling at this girl because the tone and derogatory name calling was beyond words. If the attendant does not have any emotional intelligence then perhaps she should not be working at a facility that caters to children. As a parent, I was horrified for the child. It was completely inappropriate behavior for an adult. Another issue was the amount of day passes. It was so packed we could hardly move around in the pool. The limit for pay passes should be reviewed.

We had a wonderful time! Camp Fimfo has so much to offer. We can’t wait to return 😃
