Terms & Conditions
1. Reservation Policy
1.1 The individual making the reservation (“Guest”) must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for the conduct of all persons in their party.
1.2 Campsites are assigned based on availability. Management reserves the right to reassign campsites as needed.
2. Payment
2.1 Payment is due in full at the time of booking.
2.2 Accepted forms of payment include: credit card, debit card, or electronic payment as specified by management.
3. Cancellation & Refunds
3.1 Cancellations received 5 or more days before the scheduled arrival date will receive a full refund
3.2 Cancellations within 5 days of arrival are eligible for a 50% refund.
3.4 Campsite fees will not be refunded due to inclement weather unless management issues a campsite/island closure.
4. Check-In / Check-Out
4.1 Check-in time is 3:00 PM. Check-out time is 12:00 PM.
4.2 Early arrivals or late departures require prior approval and may incur an additional fee.
4.3 Guests must check in at the retail store.
5. Occupancy & Vehicle Limits
5.1 Maximum occupancy per campsite: 6 persons.
5.2 Maximum of 2 tents
6. Quiet Hours
6.1 Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
6.2 Music, loud talking, and disruptive behavior during quiet hours are strictly prohibited.
6.3 Generators or amplified sound devices are not permitted during quiet hours and must be kept a reasonable level during all other hours
7. Campfire & Firewood Policy
7.1 Campfires are only permitted in designated fire rings or pits.
7.2 Do not leave campfires unattended. Fires must be fully extinguished before leaving the campsite or going to sleep.
7.3 Firewood may be purchased on site or must meet local regulations.
8. Trash & Cleanliness
8.1 Campsites must be kept clean and free of trash at all times.
8.2 All trash must be placed in designated waste bins or packed out.
8.3 A cleaning fee of $100 will be charged for excessively dirty campsites or abandoned items.
9. Wildlife & Safety
9.1 Feeding or interacting with wildlife is strictly prohibited.
9.2 Food, coolers, and scented items must be stored securely to prevent attracting animals.
9.3 Guests must follow all posted safety rules on site.
10. Pets
10.1 Pets are allowed in designated areas only.
10.2 Pets must remain leashed at all times and never left unattended.
10.3 Guests must clean up after their pets. Failure to do so may result in removal from the property without refund.
11. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are prohibited on the property:
- Firearms, fireworks, or explosives
- Illegal drugs or public intoxication
- Disorderly conduct or disruptive behavior
- Cutting trees, removing vegetation, or disturbing the natural environment
12. Liability & Assumption of Risk
12.1 All guests and visitors enter the property at their own risk.
12.2 Management is not responsible for loss, theft, injury, or damage to persons or property.
12.3 By making a reservation, the Guest acknowledges and assumes all inherent risks associated with outdoor and camping activities, including but not limited to: uneven terrain, wildlife encounters, adverse weather, fire, and natural hazards.
13. Right to Remove
13.1 Management reserves the right to remove any guest without refund for violating these Terms & Conditions, engaging in illegal activity, or endangering others.
14. Changes to Terms
14.1 Management reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
15. Important Note
15.1 Upon arrival to Cayo Costa State Park there is a $2 per person fee required by the State of Florida for entrance to the park.
