GENERAL CONDUCT

  • Follow all posted signage and staff guidance.

  • Treat visitors, staff, and park property with respect.

  • Management reserves the right to address situations impacting safety or visitor enjoyment.

  • Parents/guardians must supervise minors at all times.

  • Remain aware of surroundings and use good judgment.

PARK HOURS & ACCESS

  • The park is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

  • Gates remain open unless closure is required due to severe weather or hazardous conditions.

Office Hours:

  • Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday–Saturday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Sunday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

FEES & CHECK-IN

  • Each reservation includes one designated campsite and one vehicle.
  • A maximum of two vehicles per site is allowed.
    • Additional camping vehicles require a $19 per night fee.
  • Check-in time: 12:00 PM
    • Early arrival is permitted; however, site availability is not guaranteed.
  • Guests must check in at the park office during office hours unless otherwise directed.
  • Late arrivals should follow posted self-check-in instructions.
  • Parking passes must be clearly visible on all vehicles at all times.

CAMPING RULES

  • NO GLASS permitted in the park.

  • Camping is allowed only in designated campsites.

  • Camping, fires, or cooking on or under rock formations is prohibited.

  • Campsites are for registered guests only.

  • Maximum occupancy:

    • Standard site: 6 guests

    • Group site: 12 guests

  • Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

  • Campsites must be kept clean and free of litter.

  • Use park trash cans or pavilion dumpsters.

  • Do not damage trees, vegetation, or rock features.

  • Check-out time is 11:00 AM. Campsites must be vacated by this time.

  • Guests may remain in the park after checkout.

FIRES & COOKING

  • Fires are allowed only in designated fire rings.

  • Follow all active fire bans.

  • Fires must be fully extinguished before leaving unattended.

  • Burning trash or treated wood is prohibited.

  • Cutting or damaging trees for firewood is prohibited.

  • Logs defining campsites may not be burned. Burning campsite logs will result in a replacement fee.

ROCK CLIMBING & BOULDERING

  • Climbing and bouldering involve inherent risks and are done at the participant’s own risk.

  • Participants are responsible for assessing their own ability and using proper safety equipment.

  • Personal gear should be inspected prior to use.

  • Participants are financially responsible for any emergency medical care.

  • Commercial guides or instructors must obtain a commercial use permit.

  • Minors must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian.

PETS

  • Pets must be on a leash at all times.

  • Owners must clean up after their pets.

  • Pets may not be left unattended.

  • Aggressive animals may be removed from the park.

VEHICLES & PARKING

  • Park only in designated areas.

  • Observe posted speed limits.

  • Off-road driving is prohibited.

  • Vehicle repairs or washing on park property are not permitted.

LIABILITY WAIVER REQUIREMENT & ASSUMPTION OF RISK

Cherokee Rock Village is a natural outdoor recreation area with inherent risks, including but not limited to rock climbing, uneven terrain, falling rocks or tree limbs, wildlife, and changing weather conditions.

By entering the park and/or completing a reservation, guests acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks associated with outdoor recreation activities.

All visitors are required to complete a Release of Liability Waiver prior to or upon entering the park. A link to complete the required waiver will be provided in your reservation confirmation email.

Failure to complete the required waiver may result in denial of entry or removal from the park.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, guests agree that Cherokee County, Alabama, Cherokee Rock Village, and the Cherokee County Parks and Recreation Board, including their officers, employees, agents, and volunteers, shall not be liable for any injuries, damages, or loss of personal property.

BOOKING POLICY

  • The full reservation total is required at the time of booking for all stays, regardless of length.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

  • Cancellations made 7 or more days prior to arrival: Full refund

  • Cancellations made 3 to 6 days prior to arrival: 50% refund

  • Cancellations made less than 3 days prior to arrival: No refund

  • No-shows and early departures receive no refund
