We stayed at Cumberland Valley RV Ranch over the weekend, and while there were some positives, the overall experience was just average for us. The biggest issue was the terrain of the campground. Most of it is built on the side of a hill, with gravel roads throughout. The back-in sites were set at odd angles, which made backing in more difficult, especially while also trying to back uphill. We stayed in site 20, and the site itself was very steep and felt more like a gravel pit than a level camping spot. It was difficult to get set up comfortably. There was also no attendant or camp host available during our stay, and the signage leading to the campground and inside the campground was almost nonexistent. The individual campsites were clearly labeled, which did help. Another thing worth noting is that the campground backs up to a landfill, and the smell was noticeable immediately when we arrived. The campground also shares a single road with Cumberland Mine and the Smith County Jail, which takes away from the peaceful campground atmosphere a bit. The restroom was okay, but guests should know they need to bring their own toilet paper. Cell service was also very poor for both AT&T and T-Mobile. Thankfully, the free Wi-Fi worked very well and was honestly the best part of the experience. Overall, I would give Cumberland Valley RV Ranch 3 out of 5 stars. It has some potential, but the steep terrain, gravel roads, difficult site layout, lack of signage, landfill smell, and location made the stay more challenging than expected.

Assigned site had no power. Next site had no water and broken sewer connection. Sites overgrown with weeds. NOTHING like online photos. Road in is steep and deeply rutted, barely passable in Class A motorhome. Trees scrape top and sides of motorhome. We did not stay.

Site we were assigned we couldn't get on. Too small and services were right I the middle of lot. Couldn't find it at first and had to call bc they have no office. Owner answered but was in New York. There was nobody at the campground to assist us. She said to just park where we wanted to. The grass hadn't been cut in along time, very long.. Campground looked very neglected. The dog park was so overgrown the gates would not move bc of the long grass/weeds.
