Downata Hot Springs, located in Downey, Idaho, is a 100-year-old hot springs ranch just two hours north of Salt Lake City and 40 minutes south of Pocatello. The campground offers a variety of accommodations, including RV sites with water and power hookups, tent sites, group sites, and basic sites. Guests can also enjoy unique lodging options like Conestoga Wagons, cabins, house rentals, yurts, rustic cabins, and tepees. The water facilities, which are an additional charge, include a recreation pool and soaking pools fed by naturally hot springs, as well as seasonal water slides and a water playground. We stayed in one of their medium cabins. The coffee pot was broken, the door knob casing and the metal on the door jam went askew so we couldnt close the door. It would just swing open when the wind blew. My husband had to fix it. You pay $200 a night for a cabin with all that wrong with it and then have to pay for swimming passes on top of that. I think if you are paying that much for run down cabins the swimming should at least be included in the price. You pay all that money and dont even get wifi included. My family had fun but im not sure it was worth the price.

It was so peaceful. The hot water pools are open every morning, which was a lot of fun. Staff was friendly. Could hear the coyotes at night, just beautiful and relaxing.

We were just staying 1 night and our site was in a field with no other campers near. Park is designed for people using water activities and not for short term camping. We were not provided with a map or any park information. It was definitely not some place I would recommend or return to.
