Eggleston Springs Campground — Reviews

We enjoyed our two night stay here - the owner was extremely accommodating as we booked a specific site online but immediately when we got there he told us if we don't like it we can pick any spot available that we want (for free!) we ended up moving to a water side spot and it was gorgeous! Definitely recommend bug spray & shower shoes/mat as the bathrooms are portable & tend to flood slightly. The train noises at night are loud and might wake you up but overall a peaceful destination! In reasonable distance from a small town with a Walmart, Dairy Queen, etc. WiFi didn't work great but we didn't mind:)

Lovely spot to camp along the river! There are trains nearby that you can hear, but that didn’t bother us at all (it might for some people though). We would stay here again!

Nice campground. Sites on the river are beautiful. Folks are very nice.

We had a great stay! Dave accommodated us coming in late at 11pm on Friday night. The views are amazing. The train tracks on both sides of the campground are loud but they didn’t really bother us or wake us at night. Our biggest problem was no warm or hot water in the bathrooms. The prefab bathrooms were very clean and included a shower but it was freezing cold. Overall a pretty good campground.

I like the feeling of country and quiet while camping. And loved having the New River as I stepped out my door. Dave greeted us and was very nice!

Dave was pleasant and accommodating. Site was by the river and I did not find the train noise to be a ldeterrent at all. They are still rebuilding after the flood so a little rustic but found the stay overall pleasant.

It is definitely a diamond in the rough. River was awesome for swimming and the dogs. With no one close by the dogs did zoomies to their hearts content. Showers need a lot of work. Train tracks real close by going all night long. We did enjoy however. Thank you for your kindness

This place is great The staff is awesome. They are working hard to make all the repairs from last falls flooding and are making the campground even better

Good camping area. Still recovering from storm damage but still good for tent camping. Staff was friendly

I was not able to stay at this campground due to the hurricane. The place was flooded and destroyed. We had no idea until we showed up. But the owner met us when we pulled up and told us he would give us a refund. I felt so terrible for everyone there. But he was so kind when he talked to us. I would definitely try to stay here an again in the future when it is back up and running.

Dave- site host was accommodating and very helpful. Sites on the river are outstanding. Really friendly vibe. Definitely some long-term campers here but sites are relatively well-kept. Convenient to VT campus.

Great stay. Beautiful spot on the river. Dave was very helpful getting us situated. We have our own RV so cannot comment on bathhouse etc as we used our own.
