Campsite and grounds were very clean. The grass is green and nicely filled in on each site. The picnic table and pad was set a bit too far forward on this site to be useful. Site 23, the 30 amp breaker is not working. Fortunately I had a 50 amp conversion adapter cord. Also there was a fire ant mound on the left side of the pad towards the front or end of the pad. For a short or weekend stay I would recommend. It is close to the free access side of Destin.

Satisfaction Rating

The sites are level, cobble stone and organized well. The community house has a small washer and dryer where we did our laundry for free. Making reservations and checking in was easy and stress free. There isn't anyone on site and the park is in an area where some homes are run down but you cannot see them from the campground and no one bothered us at all during our stay. We were there for 5 nights and it is close enough to the beaches, etc., making it a bargain compared to other campgrounds in the area who may be closer to the water, etc.

Arrived and our spot was taken by someone else. No management on-site to manage called number and individual was pleasant and took care of this and reassigned our spot. Good location from attractions. In neighborhood location doesn't seem to be the best area - park not secure.
