Golden Acres Family Campground — Reviews

The place was quiet and all the people that we met were friendly. The deduction in ratings is that our spot (104) was very unlevel. They had recently rerocked the site with large granite stones rather than smaller stones that would compact easier. We had to put the truck in 4WD to get out of the spot as the tires just spun in the loose gravel. We would probably still stay at this campground, but not in this spot.

The people were very pleasant and helpful. We would have enjoyed the campground were it not for the site. The site had a sewer cap on it that was approximated 3 feet round and it moved, creating an awful sewer smell and it was located right at the picnic table. We could not enjoy the outside or open our windows. Very unfortunate. This site shouldn't be booked.

The campground was full of drunk people driving golf carts, I almost got hit twice. There were at least 4 different radios going on different channels plus karioke at the pavilion. There are no clear directions on where to go to get to your camp spot.

Great time. Friendly staff and the Camp has a friendly community that welcomes short stay campers. Plan to return next time out that way.

Campground was clean and maintained. Staff friendly and helpful. My only issue was the sites were to close together.

The campground was OK, but when I informed management that one of the toilets was out of toilet paper and the trash container was overflowing, the response was don’t you use the toilet in your RV? We do, but when we are paying for a campsite, I expect the amenities at the campground to be clean and properly maintained. From a customer service perspective, asking me if I use the toilet in my RV was not the correct response, more like thank you for letting us know, we will take care of it, would have been more appropriate.

This place is beautiful and peaceful. A lot of threes, clean site and everyone was super friendly!

Site near entrance is loud traffic noise

Facilities were pretty good and the location was easily accessible and not too far from public transportation. Everything that I needed to find places to eat and places to take care of other needs was easy to access.
