RV Standards – Age Limit and Appearance Guidelines
To stay at our park, your RV must not be older than 10 years and must have original and operable parts and exterior finishes that are in good condition. If your RV is older than 10 years, then pictures of all 4 sides of your RV must be submitted for prior approval by the owners before being able to stay at our park. Below are guidelines, however owners have final decision to what is allowed.
All RV's, regardless of age must meet the following standards. While we can’t provide a list including every possible scenario, following are a few examples that should be helpful:
- RV should look and function as it was originally designed.
- Doors, panels, windows and awnings, etc. should be intact, no cracks, missing or damage.
- Exterior should not be damaged, missing or faded paint/decals and free of poorly-repaired or not repaired areas.
- Tarps cannot be used for weatherproofing and awnings should be fully attached and in good condition.
- Added on air conditioning units and fans are not allowed through the walls or windows.
- All hoses, wires, etc. need to route through ports as originally designed.
- Exterior should be free of duct tape, repair tape, excessive caulk, etc.
Check In and Check Out Rules
- Check in is 2:00 p.m. and check out is 12:00 Noon.
- We manage all of our reservations online and we accept walk up reservations at any time of the day or evening. If you arrive onsite and see a vacant site, you must go online to www.gonewestrv.com to check availability for the entire length of your stay. If the vacant site is available for the entire length of your stay, you will be able to reserve and pay for it online and then pull in and set up camp. If the site is unavailable for any part of your stay, you will need to search and reserve a different site or timeframe. Do not park in an open site that displays unavailable online because this means another guest has reserved that site and may be coming in late to stay.
- At departure, the site is to be left clean with all garbage removed, including cigarette butts, and placed in the trash dumpster.
Pets
- Up to two pets are allowed per site.
- All dogs must remain on a leash at all times and cannot be left unattended inside or outside at the RV site.
- Refrain your dog from excessive barking.
- Aggressive, dangerous, or easily frightened pets that result in disruptive behavior like fighting or biting are not allowed in the RV park.
- You are responsible for clean up after your pets and disposal of pet waste into the dumpster.
- Any pet disturbance complaints made to management will require you to make immediate arrangements for your pet to be housed elsewhere outside the campground. If you can not find alternate housing after being asked to do so, you will be asked to leave the RV park and not issued a refund.
- Fences/kennels may be constructed with prior approval by the manager. Dog enclosures must be cleaned of feces daily! Unclean & unkept enclosures will result in eviction.
Water Standpipe & Freeze Protection
All water standpipes, valves, fittings, and related infrastructure are provided for guest use at the guest’s sole risk. Guest assumes full financial responsibility for any damage to the standpipe or water system caused by:
- Failure to disconnect hoses before departure.
- Impact from vehicles or equipment.
- Failure to maintain proper freeze protection.
- Removal, tampering, or improper installation of heat tape or insulated covers.
- Any negligent or improper use of park water infrastructure.
Gone West RV Park will provide heat tape and insulated standpipe covers during freezing conditions. Guest is solely responsible for ensuring heat tape remains plugged in and functional and that insulated covers remain properly secured at all times.
During freezing temperatures (32°F or below), guests must use a heated potable water hose and maintain adequate heat within their RV to prevent freezing. For additional assurance, guest could fill their water tanks, then shut off water at the standpipe AND disconnect your hose. Then hook back up only when you need to refill your water tank, then unhook. Guest assumes all risk and liability for frozen hoses, fittings, RV plumbing, or resulting damage.
Guests must disconnect and remove all hoses and shut off water at the standpipe prior to departure, whether temporary or permanent.
Any damage resulting from guest negligence or non-compliance will be repaired at guest’s expense, including labor, materials, emergency service fees, and water loss. Charges may be applied to the credit card on file.
Gone West RV Park is not liable for freeze-related damage, water loss, or damage to guest property arising from weather conditions or guest failure to comply with this policy.
