Not very organized. I accidentally booked a spot without sewer (my fault) asked if one was open and was told no. Walked the dogs the next day and saw some that were open. Husband asked the girl about it and she said it didnt show them online. 🤷‍♀️ she offered to move us but our camp was already all set up so that would have been inconveniant.

Check-in: Arrived on-site and positioned our 33' Class C motorhome down a road that would have been five spots down from our destination (#25). A girl (teenager if I had to guess) greeted us and informed me that was a one way and we were facing the opposite direction (no sign was posted to indicate that) and that we would have to reverse and go down another road. She said she had to go get her laptop to confirm and process our check-in. A couple minutes later, she comes out with a legal pad where all our information was recorded. I found this odd considering it is 2025 and did not like that from a security perspective, not to mention organization and safe record-keeping. Instead of going down a road that was not marked one way, once "checked-in", we had to drive all the way around the campground to reach our destination. Set-up: Once we meandered our way around the entire campground, we reached our spot. On the driver's side was our sewer/water hookups, picnic table, fire ring, and power pedestal. On the passenger side (main cabin door side), was a sliver of grass about 5 feet wide, which was to serve as our main seating area. This was not ideal because who wants to exit their motorhome and walk around it to reach your seating area, not to mention, who wants to sit and socialize with a sewer hookup just a couple feet away? Amenities: The campground advertised a swimming pool, ping pong, shuffleboard, billards, and an arcade. While setting up the motorhome, we allowed our teenage kids to meander and go check out the place. They came back a short time later and informed us that everything costed money to play. They attempted to play billards and accidentally hit the cue ball into a pocket and they had to pay another $0.50 to get it. They also said the ping pong balls were missing and no staff members were readily available to assist them. The swimming pool looked clean and they did swim on two separate occasions. Other items: While my wife and I sat and socialized like RV'ers do, we counted 12 instances where vehicles came down the "one way" road that we attempted to do when we first arrived. That added a little bit of frustration as we were not allowed to do that but could have greatly benefitted so our site did not feel so "backwards". Wi-Fi was decent. About as good as you would expect in a rural campground. The kids were able to use their tablets and watch streaming TV, but it was limited at times. No bad marks there, as I work in IT, and understand how this works. Overall: Grandpa's Farm was our shakedown run. We had just purchased our Class C motorhome the week before and while we have experienced RV life from a rental perspective and with friends, this was our very first RV'ing experience owning our own rig. We chose Grandpa's Farm because it is only about 30 minutes from our home and wanted to test everything out before venturing out further. It was not a bad campground overall. However, the lack of amenities, coupled with misinformation was not ideal. I cannot say we will be back, not because it was that bad, but we just have bigger plans ahead of us.
