Easy to find. Had the facilities we needed. Convenient location. Cute theme. The place probably was darling in the 60s but could use coats of paint, and general perking up. Hope the owners invest in sprucing up, adding gravel where needed and double checking things like steps and walkways to be sure they aren’t hit with someone taking a spill and claiming on their business insurance. Staff was really pleasant, so they have that going for them. Thanks for a pleasant stay!

If you use the showers, the hottest water you can get is lukewarm. It alternates between lukewarm and cold during the whole shower. So must be quick or you freeze! The laundry is more expensive than other places also. Otherwise the shower house is clean, camp ground is clean. Front rows do have more road traffic noise, but we lucked out and was further in the back. There are trains that run throughout the night blowing the horns.

Sites in the back had very little shade or rating would be 5 stars. Owners have been adding sites but have not planted trees yet. Camp store may as well not be open since they do not carry supplies there. Bathrooms were clean. Didn’t use laundry, but it looked acceptable.

The campground could use a little tlc. But the staff were fabulous. We came in after the office closed, the assigned space was occupied. A phone call and they got us a new spot within a couple of minutes. They also agreed to a late departure. Only there for 1 night but we had been traveling and touring for a week with one night stays and we had a couple of things we needed to do for our vehicles. This came in handy. Very accommodating.

It was easy to book and check in. The downside was there had been larger dogs previously there that had not been picked up after and clearly it had been sitting there for sometime.
