We got lost going there, the address on their website was different from the actual place. Also, we weren’t informed that there wouldn’t be any cellular signals, so there’s no way to get in touch with the property for directions. I would suggest more signage in and out of the property. Other than that, the place was awesome! Quiet, secured and getting in touch with nature was a total GO! I would definitely come back.

Download map beforehand as there is NO cell service. Don't attempt to come here unless you have 4 wheel drive vehicle! Also don't mistake Holcomb Valley Ranch with Holcomb Valley Campground because they're two completely different campsites! Lastly when approaching the closed gate with a chain and lock on it, ITS NOT LOCKED. My husband and I were waiting out front, super confused and exhausted from getting lost, only to find a chained gait with NO TRESSPASSING signs all over the sign in front said Holcomb Valley Scouts which made me think we were at the wrong site again! The fella on the other side asked me a million questions before he even confirmed that I was in the right place. It was a super sketchy experience, I almost turned my car around and went back home. It was super unwelcoming and I felt as if I was being questioned for trespassing. I was sent several emails after booking with rules, regulations and instructions and did not see anything regarding having to pass a gate that appears to be chained and locked. All that aside, the campsite itself is breath taking and the port-a-potties are conveniently placed and kept very clean. I would definitely come here again, despite the unwelcoming start.

It was a bit of a difficult trek to get there although it was told to us in the beginning. I like some of the sites were distant. The restrooms was the major issue for a 4 - portapotties ran out of toilet paper. The flush toilets were locked in some areas and in some difficult to use because the doors. Showers were ok but ran out of water so it wasn’t good to use. While it was windy I was made to feel bad about using the fire and made to feel I didn’t know what I was doing. The site was very rocky and not level but we managed. I would come back if wanted to bring something to off road. Overall it was a good place.

In the middle of the forest with deep feel of nature and quietness. Having no signal is also a big plus supporting the pure camping experience. Highly recommended.

Hard to get to but worth the time. Very serene, quiet with great views. We drove a motorhome in but don't recommend it, very rough, bumpy, rocky 3.5 mile road to get to the Ranch. Not saying you can't drive it but more suited for tent camping.

The staff was responsive and very helpful, which is the reason for an extra star. However, RV’s should not be allowed to drive down the recommended dirt road to get to the campsite. Along with the stress driving along Polique Canyon Rd., we endured a tear in the vinyl of our closed awning from an overhanging branch. This is a beautiful and relaxing site for tent camping, but tent camping only.
