The Campground is nestled away down a hill right next to the lake for a very private feel. First day there a Sheriff car came through, which made us feel safe. Having 15 sites, it is quaint and well kept! We saw deer, skunks and turtles throughout the site, which was much fun to watch from our window when indoors. Very quiet during the week. Twice we were the only ones there! It has a road to a quasi boat launch area for our kayaks. However, it would be nice to actually have an easier embarking area for kayaks because there were some concrete pieces we had to step over to get into the lake. The lake is murky, but immediately we saw two eagles, a deer in the water drinking and many fish and turtles jumping around, so it was a delightful experience! There is also a clearing at the campground through to the lake in which we faced our RV toward it and enjoyed the view both at night and in the morning. The city or county workers were coming through adding brand new picnic tables as we were leaving and were very friendly. Overall an excellent place to stay! We will be coming beck many times this year! Thank you for a wonderful stay and many to come!
