We had a great time overall. Our site was spacious, and the hook-ups were smooth and easy to maneuver, which made settling in simple. The block around the fire ring was a nice touch. Multiple amenities and activities enhanced our experience, and every morning, a trash truck came around and picked up the garbage. There was never a full or overflowing trash can. We were traveling with large dogs, and we really appreciated that the dog park had separate sections for small and large dogs. The downside was that the dog park was a bit hard to find, and the water wasn’t working when we arrived. An additional dog park near the boat storage area would also be a great plus for guests with pets. The bathhouse was clean and well-maintained, though the shower area could definitely use an update. The bigger issue for us was the campsite selection. During booking, the website stated that Section E was tree‑lined and Section F was not. I chose Section E specifically for the shade and paid an extra $25 to secure a shaded spot. When we arrived, there was no shade at all. It was a huge disappointment, especially since the shade was the entire reason for choosing that section and paying the additional fee.
