Wildlife sightings are common, ranging from deer and foxes to a wide variety of birds, with the occasional black bear adding to the area’s authentic wilderness feel. Rich in history, the site once served as a camp for John Muir during his studies of the region before journeys into Yosemite National Park, which is located less than an hour away, while the charming town of Coulterville—with great local dining—is just minutes from the campground. It was very quiet. Campsites were clean. Easy to find. Restrooms were clean as well. I will most likely come back in the fall.

The spot was ok. We were the only one on the campground. Very strange.it gives us a lot of privacy. The little less score was because of the restrooms. Little outdated and need a fresh up
