TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Town of Irricana operates and maintains the Irricana Municipal Campground.

Please read the terms and conditions thoroughly, it is each camper's responsibility to read and accept them.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT

  • Check-In: 2:00 PM
  • Check-out: 11:00 AM

BOOKING & PAYMENT – Campground Reservation and Payment must be completed online at www.campspot.com/book/irricanacampground.

 All campers must be registered to stay overnight in the campground.

  • Rental fees are due in full prior to check-in, unless otherwise approved.
  • Additional charges may apply for extra vehicles, guests, damages, or rule violations.

If assistance is required with online registration, please email the Campground Manager at campground@irricana.com

SITE CHANGES – You have been assigned a specific site by selecting this online through your reservation. If you wish to move, please check with the Campground Manager by checking in at the Office or through email at campground@irricana.com.

Due to reservations and maintenance, moving may not be possible. Please inquire before moving sites.

PARKING – Please do not park your vehicle or trailer in an adjacent site. Use of more than one site will result in additional charges. No parking will be permitted on the grass unless approved through the Campground Manager.

OCCUPANCY & USE

  • The campsite may only be used for recreational camping purposes.
  • Subletting or transferring a campsite is not permitted.
  • Maximum occupancy limits must be followed at all times.
  • Quiet hours are from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM, unless otherwise posted.

DAMAGE & LIABILITY

  • The Renter is responsible for any damage caused by themselves, their guests, or pets.
  • The Campground is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to individual property.
  • The Renter assumes all risks associated with camping activities.

AMENITIES – The Washroom/Shower Building have keypad locks; a code will be posted for Camper access during their stay. Please do your part to ensure the washrooms are kept respectable for the benefit of all our guests.

Each campsite includes a fire pit as well as a picnic table, and we have firewood and Ice available for sale. An Outdoor Kitchen is also available for rent in half-day or full-day increments. Payment can be made online at www.campspot.com/book/irricanacampground or via cash through the Campground Manager.

CAMPGROUND MANAGER – The Campground Manager is located at the trailer on the West side of the washrooms. The manager is available to respond to any questions or concerns you have, provide campsite directions, and will have firewood or bagged ice available for purchase between office hours. The Campground office hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and they can be reached at campground@irricana.com. For emergency questions or situations during your visit, please contact the Irricana Municipal Campground Manager at (403) 827-1869.

CAMPING UNITS – Self-contained units with toilet and running water are recommended. 

SINGLE TENT CAMPING – Is permitted. Max of 2 Tents on Tenting Site.

GROUP CAMPING – Group camping is permitted.

INTERNET/CELL SERVICE – There is NO Wi-Fi available, but cell service is accessible in the campground.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Cancellation notice received 1 week (7 days) or more prior to arrival date; a full refund will be issued less a $10.00 admin fee.
  • Cancellation notice received less than 1 week (7 days) but more than 3 days prior to arrival date will receive a 50% refund. No additional cancellation fee will be charged.
  • Cancellation notice received less than 3 days prior to arrival date, will not receive a refund.
  • Customers are unable to reschedule their confirmed booking online, to reschedule please contact  campground@irricana.com for assistance.
  • Bookings rescheduled inside of 1 week and cancelled at a later date are not entitled to a refund.
  • All "no shows" without required notification will forfeit all camping fees.
  • Cancellations should be completed online through your original reservation at www.campspot.com/book/irricanacampground.
  • You may also email the Campground Manager for assistance with your campground cancellation at campground@irricana.com.

LATE ARRIVALS/NO SHOWS

  • Please notify the camp host at campground@irricana.com or (403) 827-1869 of a late arrival.
  • A late arrival is a planned arrival after 12:00 PM of the day following your scheduled arrival date.
  • If notice of a late arrival is not provided and the camper does not register by 12:00 PM of the day following the scheduled arrival date, the reservation is considered a "no-show and will be cancelled. The campsite will be released for booking.
  • All camping fees will be forfeited for “no shows.”

DUMP STATION – There is a dump station located just East of the bathroom facility. There is no fee for registered campers. The fee for non-campers is $5.00; payment can be delivered in the drop box or paid at the campground office or to the campground manager.

GUESTS – Day guests are always welcome. The departure time for guests is 11:00 PM.

PET POLICY – Pets are welcome at the Irricana campground. Owners take full responsibility and assume full legal and financial liability for any injuries and/or damages resulting from a bite or attack on another person or domestic animal by their pet while on the Irricana Campground.

Pets must always be kept on a leash and under control throughout the property. This includes controlling barking, growling, whining, aggressive behaviour, etc... Pets should not be left unattended or outside at any time without an owner present. Campers are also responsible for cleaning up after their pets and disposing of waste in the garbage bins provided. No Exceptions.

CAMPFIRES – Campfires must be contained to the fire pit provided, supervised, properly extinguished at night and before departure. Please DO NOT move the firepit from its spot on the campsite. Please ensure your campfire is completely extinguished at the end of your stay before leaving your campsite. Campfires are not permitted during Fire Advisories in Rocky View County. Please ask the Campground Manager by email at campground@irricana.com for fire status, or visit www.albertafirebans.ca.

FIREWOOD – Firewood is available for sale from the Campground Manager for $12.00/bag or two bags for $20.00 (including GST). Payment can be made by Cash to the Campground Manager or added to your online campground rental costs at www.campspot.com/book/irricanacampground.

FIREARMS/FIREWORKS – Firearms and fireworks, and their use is prohibited in the park.

BAGGED ICE – Bagged Ice is available on site for sale $4.00 (including GST) where it can be purchased at the campground office during office hours. Cash accepted or added to your online reservation account and paid via Credit Card.

NOISE – Quiet hours are 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM. At the Campground Manager's discretion, any excessive noise is cause for eviction. Please note that the Irricana Municipal Campground operates under the Town of Irricana Community Standards Bylaws. Please be respectful of other guests and our neighbouring properties.

 ALCOHOL – Alcohol is restricted to your campsite only. Please ensure all empties are cleaned up after consumption and discarded appropriately.

 VEHICLES – Vehicles must be parked in the campsite areas only. No off-road vehicles are permitted.

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY – Call 911 for Fire, EMS, or Police. Provide the location of the emergency or the 911 address for the Campground and give details of the emergency. Our 911 address is 300-1st Street, Irricana, Irricana Municipal Campground/Founders Park. The Campground Manager must also be notified of all campground emergencies; they can be reached at (403) 827-1869.

KEEP THE CAMPGROUND CLEAN – It is everyone’s responsibility to make sure we pick up after ourselves and to keep the campground looking good for all to enjoy.

  • Campers are personally responsible for the cleanliness of their site.
  • Campers and Visitors are responsible to dispose of trash in the bins provided. Pick up after yourself and dispose of garbage properly. There is a garbage bin on site located east of the washrooms.
  • Recycle your cans and bottles. The camp manager has a designated spot for recycling cans and bottles. Please check with the camp manager for this location.

LOST AND FOUND – Please turn in any items found during your stay to our campground manager. If you have lost any items during your stay, please do not hesitate to contact our Campground Manager by email at campground@irricana.com to inquire if they have been found.

INDEMNIFICATION & RELEASE – The Renter agrees to release and indemnify the Town of Irricana, its employees, and agents from any claims, injuries, losses, or damages arising from use of the campground, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.

TERMINATION – The Campground reserves the right to terminate this Agreement at any time for:

  • Violation of campground rules
  • Unsafe or disruptive behaviour
  • Non-payment of fees
  • Abuse of Staff or other Campers

No refunds will be issued upon termination for cause.

By entering, reserving, staying at, or using the facilities of the Irricana Municipal Campground (“Campground”), I acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

I understand that camping and outdoor recreation involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Uneven ground and natural terrain
  • Fire hazards
  • Wildlife encounters
  • Weather conditions
  • Slips, falls, and personal injury

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my presence at the Campground.

2. RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby release, waive, and discharge the Irricana Campground, its owners, operators, employees, volunteers, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or causes of action arising out of or related to my use of the Campground, including claims arising from negligence, except where prohibited by law.

3. RESPONSIBILITY FOR GUESTS AND MINORS

I accept full responsibility for:

  • All members of my party, including children, pets, and visitors.
  • Any injuries, damages, or losses caused by myself or members of my group.

I confirm I am the parent or legal guardian of any minor guests or have authority to sign on their behalf.

4. PROPERTY DAMAGE

I agree to be financially responsible for any damage caused to Campground property by myself or members of my party.

5. RULES AND CONDUCT

I agree to follow all posted campground rules, rental terms, and conditions (refer to Terms and Conditions Document) and staff instructions. Failure to do so may result in removal from the Campground without refund.

6. GOVERNING LAW

This waiver shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT & SIGNATURE

By selecting "Agree", the Renter acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by all terms and conditions of this Agreement.
