Jekyll Island Campground — Reviews

The campground was clean and well suited for my family. There are lots of fun activities to do on the island.

Sand gnats were biting pretty bad. Due to construction on one bathhouse, it was a little tough to get in a shower time, but bathrooms were well kept and clean, even with heavy usage. Nice easy pull thru sites with full hookups at a reasonable price. Definitely will plan another trip here.

Great campground and fantastic volunteer staff!

Friendly camp hosts, clean accommodations, stocked camp store, and calm feel of the site as a whole. Bugs were terrifying but not much you can do about that.

Although the sites are somewhat cramped, generally the park was nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The restrooms were limited. One had been torn down, the next had one toilet out of 3 working. The far one was new and very nice. We were not prepared for the sand gnat infestation that ate us alive the moment we set foot outside.

Great location on Jekyll Island but the campground needs some work done in a timely manner. Needs some new restrooms built, lacks reliable WiFi and cable, sites are close together.

The bathroom is not very nice. Old and not that clean. But otherwise, the camping is great.

Went with my dog. Site next to camp host I believe around I3.Both offered help but basically declined. New tent 1 person me. Everyone was nice never mean. I'll definitely go again l.

I love the island and this is the only campground, however the campground is not well maintained the bathrooms were were neatly completely out of order and privacy is minimal

We go for the island, the campground is just okay. There’s one very grumpy man on his little cart that hovers around starting around 11:45, waiting for you to leave at noon. He’s got no personality. The front office folk are nice. The
