Terms & Conditions
Information & Policies:
Gate Hours: Opens at 8:00 am / Closes at 10:00 pm unless otherwise notified.
Please notify the Resort if leaving early or arriving late as the gate may be locked.
Check-in time: after 2:00pm / Check-out: 11:00 am.
Interested in early or late check in or out, please call the resort ahead of time.
After hours: Names and locations will be posted on the Lodge front door.
Once you arrive, go directly to your campsite or cabin and check into the office
after 10:00 am the following morning.
Registration: All guests must register and be paid in full before proceeding to your Cabin, Trailer or Campsite.
You acknowledge that your credit card will be charged if you or anyone in your party causes damages to the resort property.
Day Visitors: Visitors coming during the day or visitors coming to see a registered
guests staying at the resort, must sign-in and register at the office. Must get a pass for vehicle to put in window.
Day passes are $10.00 per adult, $5.00 per child or $ 25.00 per car load. (Max 4 people or family of 6)
Overnight Visitors: Visitors staying with registered guests overnight must check-in and register
at the office and pay $10.00 per person. Must get a pass for vehicle to put in window.
Generator Hours: 8-10 am and 5-7 pm Please be respectful of your neighbors.
Barbeques: Permitted, but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult.
The main lodge has community BBQ use. *( No charcoal BBQs allowed during Fire Ban).
Pets: Limiting 2 dogs per cabin or campsite. Cost $20.00 per pet
All dogs must be on a leash at all times. Dog owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
Bring personal dog beds or cages please as no dogs allowed on couches or beds.
No dogs permitted on the Family beach, Lodge or Bathrooms or Lodge
Wi-Fi: Is available at the Lodge only, under Knouff Lake guest. Password: Lake2020
Connect to” Wi-Fi calling” before you arrive as we do not have satellite service.
Please download movies and games at home as we have limited data, (overuse will prevents us from being able to share service).
Showers: Showers available at main bathhouse cost $1.00 for 3 mins, only takes loonies
Laundry: Washer and dryer cost $2.00 per load each, only takes loonies
Bedding: All trailers and cabins require you to bring your own bedding.
With exception to the Redwood cottage and Jayco trailer. If this is not possible call the resort, we do offer bedding for special occasions and for our international guests at a $20.00 charge per bed.
Dishes: All dishes, cookware & cutlery from Cabins & Trailers must be cleaned.
A dishwashing station is provided in the front of the bathhouse. sink, hot water, dish soap, towels and scrubby included.
Must be done prior to check-out or a $30.00 fee will apply.
Garbage/Recycling: Please put all garbage in the appropriate bins provided at the resort.
Household garbage only. NO camping chairs, tents etc.
Please do not burn garbage in fire pits.
Firewood: $12.00 bundle purchase and carry from the Lodge during store hours.
Fires/Fire Pit: Fires are permitted in fire pits, Please do not move fire pits.
Campfires can be no larger than 20x20” (0.5mx0.5m) and be supervised at all times.
All fires must be put out by 12:00am midnight. Avoid any campfires when it's windy.
Follow all BC Government regulations, and must be extinguished properly.
Fire ban: In the event that a fire ban has been enforced, you may bring your own
propane fire pits and propane tanks as we do not supply them.
Please fill your propane tanks before your arrival as the resort can not fill them.
Smoking: Smoking or Vaping is not permitted on the beach, docks or in any of the resort
buildings, including the office, rental cabins & trailers, bathrooms & laundry room.
Put out in the proper containers, be respectful of other guests.
Do not leave butts on the ground. No smoking of any kind during fire bans.
Quiet time: 10:00 pm - 8:00 am. All noise must be at a reasonable level,
Respect your neighbor. *Excessive music/noise will not be tolerated.
Drones: Not permitted without permission from Staff, due to the privacy of guests.
Fireworks: Not permitted without permission from Staff for the safety of all guests.
Sani Dump: $10.00 Please pay at office prior to going to our Sani Dump.
Boat Launch: If you are not a registered guest. Pay $ 10.00 at the office prior to
boat launch.
Dock: All children on dock must wear life jackets and be supervised by an adult.
All Vehicles Including recreation vehicles i.e. Snowmobilers, UTV’s & ATVs:
Be considerate of our guests, when coming and going in and out of the Resort.
Please abide by the speed limits both inside the resort and on our local roads. No riding around in circles on the Resort.
Playground: Is intended for children 5-10 No rough play, or climbing on outside
of equipment. Children under 6 adult supervision is required.
Use the playground at your own risk. Hours are dawn to dusk.
All Rental & Alterations to bookings:
Cabin, Cottage Trailer Rentals or RV/Tenting sites,
All Customers are required to check in at the office, have signed a waiver and be paid in full before staying.
Deposits must be made towards rentals at time of reservation, then full payment is
required 60 days before arrival.
Payments will be taken automatically by credit card on file unless you’ve otherwise stated.
Prices are in Canadian funds and do not include taxes or fees.
All prices are subject to change without notice.
Reservations can be made 1 year in advance.
Please call the resort if any changes or alterations need to be made to your booking as soon as possible.
Rentals have a 2 night min on weekends and 3 nights for long weekends.
Call resort for possible exceptions.
Refund Policy:
Your reservation is a firm commitment, No refunds are given should you leave early, or arrive late.
We require a minimum of 60 days prior notice before your arrival date, for a refund and will have reservation
and credit card fees of 4 %.
*To cancel your reservation, 59-30 days before your arrival date, your refund will ONLY go towards a camp credit,
which will go towards a future reservation to be used within 2 years of date of cancellation.
*No cash refunds, if cancelled 29 days or less before check in date.
*We do not refund reservations by emailing us, if you do need help call the resort at 250 578-8155.
*You are responsible for all days YOU booked. We do NOT have a contract with mother nature, and we do not refund early departures due to slow fishing, bad weather, bugs, or wildfire smoke. Look into travel insurance for this.
BC has a fire season. If the resort is put under evacuation ORDER (not a notice) or you are unable to travel to the resort due to a travel ban surrounding our area that make access impossible, deposits will be either refunded (less a 4% credit card fee) or held on file for future use.
LIABILITY: All Customers must sign a waiver, before staying and using the resort facilities and will do so at their own risk.
Knouff Lake Wilderness Resort & staff are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, loss or damage to personal property.
Parents are responsible for any/all children for the duration of the stay.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS AND ASSUMPTIONS OF RISK AGREEMENT
By signing this document you waive certain legal rights including the right to sue or claim compensation following an accident. Further, you agree to hold harmless and indemnify Knouff Lake Wilderness Resort Ltd. ("KLWR"), its employees, directors, officers, for any resulting losses or injuries in any events or services including playgrounds, boats, rental equipment, this includes any and all liability for any property damage, loss or personal injury to any third party resulting from activities in participation of any events on the property or facilities of KLWR, including any rentals. The undersigned agrees that the release and indemnification shall be effective and binding upon the heirs, next of kin, executors, and administrators of my estate. The undersigned agrees that the waiver of claims covers all losses due to causes including negligence, breach of contract, or breach of any statutory or any other duty of care including any duty of care owed under the Occupier's Liability Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 336. The undersigned understands that negligence includes failure on the part of KLWR, its directors, officers or employees to take reasonable steps to safeguard or protect me from or warn me of the risks, dangers, and hazards of participating in activities. Further, the undersigned and all guests will ensure that life jackets are worn on all water rentals and boats and that all manufacturer and government safety requirements, including safety equipment, operator age, and protection gear are complied with in relation to use by operators and riders and passengers (where allowed) for boats, ATV's and snowmobiles. Further, all regulations regarding safe operation and speed restrictions will be complied with. The undersigned takes full responsibility for the actions of all guests, renters and any pets or invites in the trailers/cabins/cottages/campsites and resort facilities including outbuildings, bathrooms, and all resort property including an obligation to pay for any damages or injuries caused by persons or pets the undersigned is responsible for. I further acknowledge that my credit card will be charged if there are any damages to Knouff Lake Wilderness Resort or to any of the trailers/cabins/cottages/campsites caused by those individuals or pets that I am responsible for. I confirm that use of all facilities, rental equipment, etc. are at the person's own risk. The undersigned is responsible to communicate the attached list of resort rules and regulations to all guests and invitees of the undersigned and to ensure that all rules and regulations are abided by the undersigned, guests and invitees of the undersigned. KLWR reserves the right to deny access and terminate the guests' use and stay at KLWR Resort for breach of the rules and regulations, for harassment of staff or guests, or behavior that is deemed unsuitable by KLWR directors, officers or employees. If this action is required, no refunds will be offered.
