Kreher Park Campground Policies & Rules

Camping.
Occupancy of Kreher and Prentice Park campsites is reservation only.
APR may accept nightly reservations for groups of 10+ RVs. Reservations must be made at least four months in advance through the APR Office and are subject to the Parks and Recreation Director’s approval.
It shall be unlawful to camp or use a camping unit on any City park land other than designated campsites within Kreher or Prentice Park.
The Parks and Recreation Committee, and its designated agent, may provide exemptions to City park camping restrictions for special events.
After Hours Loitering.
Parking of vehicles, congregating of individuals, or loitering at the Kreher Park beach, restrooms, playground, pavilion, boat launch area or boat launch parking lot between the hours 10:00 p.m. and one-half hour before sunrise by anyone other than registered campers or individuals or parties launching boats is strictly prohibited.
Parking of vehicles, congregating of individuals, or loitering at the Prentice Park, restrooms, playground, pavilion, boardwalk between the hours 10 PM and one-half hour before sunrise by anyone other than registered campers is strictly prohibited.
Registration and Payment of Camping Fee. Self-registration is required of all parties occupying a campground campsite for any purpose prior to occupancy. A camping unit must be on site when paying the camping fee; sites cannot be held by chairs, tables, cars, etc.
Tent camping is prohibited at Kreher RV Park. Family tents are allowed on a paid and occupied RV site as an accessory use.
Check-Out time is 11:00 a.m. Occupants of a site after 11:00 a.m. without permission of the camp host or caretaker will be charged another night’s camping fee
Occupation Limit. A site may not be occupied by more than eight (8) persons.
Length of Stay.
Kreher RV Park – no one may occupy the following lakefront RV campsites continuously for more than 14 days: 10, 14, 23, 24, 25, 26, 29, 30, and 33. Sites 10, 14, 23, 24, 25, 26, 29, 30, and 33 are not able to be reserved and are only available on a first come first serve basis unless approved by special circumstance by Parks and Recreation Director: i.e. host site, medical reasons, etc. Lake sites 26, 27, 31, and 32 have a maximum stay of one month per calendar year.
Prentice Park - No one may occupy a tent campsite continuously for more than 14 days. RV sites 2, 4, and 6 with a recreational vehicle (RV), are available for month long rentals.
Placement of Vehicles and Tents.
Camping units are restricted to the designated parking area on each campsite. No more than two motor vehicles (or six motorcycles) are allowed on any one campsite.
The number of tents allowed on any one campsite depends on the sizes of the tents and of the site. Tents may not exceed the boundaries of the site. Tents must be placed on a tent pad at the campsite. Tents are not allowed to be placed in the woods.
Quiet Hours Established. Campground quiet hours are between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
Any noise originating from campsites, camping units, the Waterfront trail, beach, playground, restrooms, or pavilion bothersome to campers at the Kreher RV Park Campground is prohibited.
Any noise originating from campsites, camping units, boardwalk, slough, trails, restrooms, playground, or pavilion bothersome to campers at the Prentice Park Campground is prohibited.
Booking Policy:
For stays less than one month, the full reservation total is required at the time of booking for all stays. For stays of one month or more, a $150 prepayment is required at the time of booking.
Cancellation and Refund Policies:
Daily/Weekly Reservations
Reservations cancelled at least 7 days prior to arrival will incur a 3% cancellation fee.
Reservations cancelled less than 7 days prior to arrival will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
No shows and early departures receive no refund.
Monthly Reservations
Reservations cancelled at least 7 days prior to arrival will incur a 3% cancellation fee.
Reservations cancelled less than 7 days prior to arrival will forfeit their $150 prepayment.
No shows and early departures receive no refund.
Cancellations Due to Weather or Other Elements
Ashland Parks & Recreation will not issue full refunds due to bad weather or air quality concerns. Air quality concerns and wildfire smoke are considered weather-related events and are subject to the standard cancellation policy. Exceptions may be made if Ashland Parks & Recreation closes the campground or if a local, state, or federal agency issues evacuation orders or public directives require the closure of outdoor recreation facilities.

Partial Refunds Due to Utility Outages:
Site Specific Outage
If a campsite has no power/water for over 24 hours a camper may request a partial credit/refund
Outages must be reported to the Camp Host or the Ashland Parks & Recreation office to be eligible for the partial refund.
Whole Campground Outage
If the campground has no power/water for over 24 hours campers may request a partial credit/refund
